In accordance of the 15th anniversary exhibition, “Rilakkuma Town e Yokoso,” “Rilakkuma Town Café” will be opened for a limited time offer. Many kinds of photogenic collaborative menus items and café-limited original goods will be sold. The interior of the shop and the limited goods using original illustrations of cute bears are a “must see.”
You must make a reservation before visiting “Rilakkuma Town Café” but you can make a reservation on the same day if the café is not too crowded. “Original Big Can Badge (1 variety will be offered randomly out of 3 varieties) will be offered to those of who make a reservation before visiting the café, “Original Luncheon Mat (1 variety will be offered randomly out of 4 varieties) will be offered to visitors of the café and an “Original Post Card (1 variety will be offered out of 3 varieties) will be offered to those who order a menu item (one card per order).

Rilakkuma no Attaka 3 Shoku Stew – 1,490 yen
A pastel-colored (3 colored) stew using the motif of Rilakkuma Town. It is a delicious white stew that contains chicken.
Korilakkuma no Fuwa Fuwa Curry Udon – 1,190 yen
A slightly pink-colored white curry udon noodle dish! The hot spring egg shaped like Korilakkuma is floated on the pink-colored cream.
Kiiroi Tori no Fuwatoro Omelet rice – 1,390 yen
Omelet rice is known as a standard menu item of the café! Kiiroi Tori is holding a broom and his pocket money (10 yen). The tomato sauce and the flavor of the eggs matches very well!
Yume no rainbow Tower Pancake – 1,490 yen
Did you know that pancakes are Rilakkuma’s favorite food? This three-colored tower pancake has the flavors of strawberry, mango and mint.
Rilakkuma Town no Sweets Burger -1,290 yen
This is a very sweet hamburger developed based on the motif of the hamburger shop in Rilakkuma Town. The menu item includes chocolate ice cream and custard cream.

The Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo is celebrating Rilakkuma’s birthday in the sweetest way! The Strawberry Collection with Rilakkuma sweets buffet will be available from January 7 until March 31, 2023 at All-Day Dining Jurin on the hotel’s second floor. The most popular strawberry buffet will be back and better than ever in 2023. Sweets featuring Rilakkuma and his friends will be on full display, including strawberry tarts, tiramisu, and other strawberry-filled sweets. The lazy bear’s favorite pudding and pancakes will also be available along with soothing hot tea for the cold winter months. This will mark the first time that Rilakkuma’s sweets buffet will appear at a hotel.
Small tartlets featuring Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori will be too cute to eat, and Chairoikoguma will appear on cookie sandwiches. To celebrate the return of Urusei Yatsura after 36 long years, a themed cafe will be coming to four cities in Japan for a limited time! The first cafe will open on December 1, 2022. Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi that ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1978 until 1987. An anime series aired in 1981 and became a massive hit with audiences, and understandably, it is still loved by anime and manga fans today. The cafe features newly-drawn illustrations of six main characters including Ataru Moroboshi, Lum, and Ten.

The second Tabekko Doubutsu Cafe Stand event opened in Omotesando on November 1, 2022. Paying homage to the classic snack first released in 1978, the cafe features a number of tasty snacks inspired by the thin animal-shaped cookies popular around the world. This second event will run through January 9, 2023. Reservations are required, and many dates were completely sold out prior to the event’s start date, particularly on weekends. We decided to visit, anxious to see what the fuss is all about.
We were first shocked to see the popular animals enjoying oden! Original goods featuring the characters enjoying the quintessential Japanese winter dish are only available at the cafe. From acrylic keychains to figures, visitors can snag some adorable merchandise to commemorate their trip to the exclusive event. Why not snag some items that would be useful on a daily basis, like a notebook or an apron? For food, visitors can snag a special Oden Set and Chinese Dumplings, both perfect for the winter. The oden features popular ingredients like egg, daikon, fish cake, and mochikinchaku, each branded with the popular animal characters. Drinks include soy milk, green tea milk, and milk tea. In addition to the exclusive Lion Cake which is limited to 25 servings a day, guests can find chocolate bananas and other sweets on the menu, including a Sweets Set limited to those reserving special seats at the venue. For every ¥1,000 spent on food and drink items, customers will receive one Tabekko Doubutsu trading card! The exhibition space is a must-see for fans of this legendary snack, filled with rare works including an adorable and very colorful print of every animal holding a bowl of oden. Of course, a photo spot has been set up for visitors to take some prime shots for social media! Don’t miss the animal meet and greet, which is making its triumphant return from the last event!
