The renewed version of the popular guide map “101 THINGS TO DO IN SHIBUYA”
-English version was published on the 27th of April 2018 (Fri.). The guide map introduces “101 things to do” in Shibuya including information about restaurants, bars, shopping areas, entertaining areas, cultural activities and nightlife activities with a unique point of view.
Time Out is a city guide map which was first published in London in 1968. The guide map has been published in 108 cities (39 countries) centering around London, Moscow, Shanghai and Sydney and was used as the official guide map of the Summer Olympics/Paralympics held in 2012.
Time Out Tokyo was first published in 2009 and they have been introducing various topics and information about art events, restaurants, music festivals and events using many kinds of guide maps like “101 THINGS TO DO IN ROPPONGI” and “101 THINGS TO DO IN SHIJUKU.”
Shibuya is one of the most popular areas introduced in Time Out Tokyo. The guide map (9th version) introduces new accommodations such as “Turn Table” in Shinsencho, “Hotel Koe Tokyo” which was opened in February and a capsule hotel named “THE MILLENNIALS.”
They also introduce a unique restaurant “Daitokai,” “IGAO,” a dining bar and “NADiff a/p/a/r/t” located in the Ebisu Area which is popular among fashionable young people.
The guide map is distributed in stations, sightseeing information centers and major hotels, so feel free to take a look at it!

101 THINGS TO DO IN SHIBUYA-English version (9th edition)
As part of the ongoing Channel47 project, which uses the power of local resources and entertainment to share Japan and its local culture with the world, a new travel experience titled ‘DEEP EXPERIENCE THE INAKA -TENRYUKYO・IIDA CITY-’ is now on sale, taking visitors to Iida, Nagano Prefecture.
Iida City in Nagano Prefecture will be the location for the tour, with the city selected by the Japan Tourism Agency in 2024 for its ‘Project to Promote Expansion and Quality of Inbound Tourism by Providing Special Experiences for Visitors.’ The Minami Shinshu Tourism Bureau helped to create the tour for inbound travelers to experience the “real” Japanese countryside found in the Tenryu Gorge area of Iida City by funding farmhouse homestays in the area.
By creating a travel experience that takes advantage of the local resources of Tenryu Gorge in Iida City, we aim to promote sustainable tourism activities by communicating the charm of the region to people in both Japan and abroad, revitalizing local production, passing on traditional culture, and strengthening cooperation between local communities.

This is a special tour that allows inbound visitors to experience the traditional culture and beautiful landscapes of Minami-Shinshu. Mika Pikazo is an illustrator and character designer. The artist has designed characters for many popular titles including Fire Emblem Engage, the latest in Nintendo's Fire Emblem series, as well as book covers and CD jackets.Starting December 10, the artist will hold his second solo exhibition in three years at the Hz event space in Shibuya.According to a press release, the exhibition is being held to show a number of creations Pikazo has made recently, and aims to show off new animation and past illustrations to merge his past and future selves. The creator hopes to challenge himself more going forward.The first main visual, REVENGE, can be seen on the exhibition’s official website. A total of three visuals have been newly drawn for the event and will be released sequentially.
