7-member boy band DA PUMP will release their first single in 3 years and 8 months, U.S.A., on June 6, 2018. The music video has already hit online where it has blown up on social media. It gained over 500,000 views on YouTube within 3 days.
The origin of the video comes from posts by a select number of Hello Project fans. The infectiously catchy song and performance from the seven members is grabbing hold of Hello Project fans’ hearts, and the YouTube comments are littered with references to Hello Project.
The song and video is receiving music praise online for its call back to the heydays of Hello Project, its style reminiscent of Tsunku, Issa’s singing ability and foot stomping dance movies, and its overall cheesy yet irresistibleness.
DA PUMP is currently holding release events in support of U.S.A. They are performing five shows, including one at Tama Plaza Terrace in Kanagawa on June 9, so be sure to catch them live to see them perform the dance to the new song!

Dance vocal group w-inds. has released a new song perfect for the holiday season! The Christmas Song (feat. DA PUMP & Lead) is now available to stream. The track is from the group’s upcoming original album 20XX “We are,’ scheduled to be released on November 24, 2021.
The release has already become a trending topic in Japan. This year w-inds. is celebrating 20 years since their debut. Their first time serving as opening act was at a DA PUMP’s concert, while Lead performed as the opening act for the first time at a w-inds.’s concert. The three groups are, as expected, very close friends at this point, and this Christmas track is filled with good vibes only. The jacket artwork was designed by U-YEAH from DA PUMP, and each singer wrote lyrics for their respective parts.

U.S.A. is the first new single from Japanese boy band DA PUMP in three-and-a-half years and the group’s first Eurobeat style track. Since the CD cover and music video were posted people have noted the cheesiness of this release. Though it’s cheesy, people absolutely cannot stop listening to it.
It’s only been a week since U.S.A. dropped on June 6, but the song has taken over the digital music charts in Japan. It has topped iTunes at number one for weekly song top music video, and even taken the top spot on Spotify and Apple Music.
The music video blew up on YouTube. In just 3 days after being posted on May 16 it had already reached 1 million views. As of June 12, the video has 7.1 million views.
The group posted a dance-along video so people can learn the moves themselves.
