Penguin Research are a Japanese rock band known for their strong live performance ability. They recently finished up their 11-date solo tour at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo back in March.

It has been announced that their long-awaited new release will be a tie-up with anime series Zoids Wild set to begin broadcasting on July 7. They will provide an insert song in the anime titled WILD BLUE as well as the ending theme Shonen no Boku e. The songs are looking to be as hot as their live performances. A CD or digital release has yet to be confirmed, but in the mean time you can ensure you’ll catch them when the show starts.

The band will go on to perform their first ever outdoor show this summer at Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall in Tokyo on July 8.
