Italian stationery manufacturer Moleskine has teamed up with Super Mario to release a line of limited-edition notebooks.
Mario is one of the most recognisable video game characters of all time has remained at the top of the popularity list ever since his first appearance.The notebook collection is a homage to the original Super Mario Bros. game which was released for the NES in 1985.
Both pocket-sized notebooks evoke gaming nostalgia with the designs recreating the Gameboy and NES cartridge. The Gameboy notebook takes on the design of the classic replay screen.
The large-sized notebooks recreate screens from the original game. One has the iconic blue sky backdrop and the other a black backdrop together with imprints of the controller buttons. The red highlighted button is Mario’s jump button!

Osoblanco This general store and gallery is located in Nanba, Osaka. The shop mainly deals in original handmade goods, antique European tools, and merchandise by illustrator makomo. Both store owners are stationary lovers, and they have recently begun offering a wide selection of paper products of all genres and styles. Otome Printing Otome Printing makes paper goods by printing each sheet of paper one color at a time on a letterpress! The handmade printing gives each sheet a one-of-a-kind feel by virtue of the indentation of the printing plate, ink blurring, and crooked prints. The lineup includes postcards, letterheads, pouch bags, and gift bags decorated with these unique prints. Printing Studio Tan Printing Studio Tan has been making Nara-inspired letterpressed pieces since it opened its doors. The symbol for ‘tan’ refers to the color of red earth, symbolizing the values of ancient Nara, once the central city of Japan. The company’s products feature ancient patterns associated with classic Japanese culture. Kei Printing Kei Printing, with a factory in Kobe, offers delicate items with incredible attention to detail. With the goal of designing ‘memorable printed materials,’ customers are sure to find items that will help them to express themselves. Yonagadou With a storefront located in Tenmabashi, Osaka, Yonagadou also has a small gallery in the back featuring items from both Japan and abroad. LEGO Japan will release seven new products in the LEGO Super Mario series in Japan on August 1, 2022. Princess Peach will finally be making her appearance in the anticipated lineup with some fun new building sets! LEGO Super Mario allows players to take on challenging LEGO courses filled with characters and coins from the popular video game series. The newest product will star Princess Peach from the Mushroom Kingdom.
Fans can enjoy sound effects and voices from the series as they build the new set. Since opening in March, Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has caught the world’s attention, leading global game fans to pray even harder for Japan to reopen for tourism. Now, the park is scheduled to level up with a new Donkey Kong-themed area scheduled to open in 2024. Currently, Super Nintendo World is filled with Mario-inspired attractions, dining options, and shops, recreating some of the most memorable parts of the franchise in a larger-than-life way. The new Donkey Kong area will feature a roller coaster and more interactive experiences, as well as themed merchandise and food options. Guests will be able to walk through lush jungles, where Donkey Kong and his friends live. The creation of the new area will more than double the size of Super Nintendo World.
Launched as an arcade game by Nintendo in 1981, Donkey Kong quickly took the world by storm, with games continuing to be released on Nintendo systems from the SNES to the Nintendo Switch. As of March 2021, the series has sold over 65 million units worldwide. Comment from Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto
