STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY are opening a new coffee shop titled Kuramoto Baisen Charyou Kyouya Hachiemon on September 7 in Takayama, a city known as the ‘Little Kyoto’ of Gifu Prefecture.
STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY set out to open as Japanese coffee shop to compete with the rest of the world. This year, it is celebrating 8 years since its establishment. They currently operate 17 independent coffee chains across the country. The company maintains a diverse background of skaters and musicians, but their baristas also boast world class skill in coffee making. It developed its first nitro cold brew coffee in 2014 and successfully put out the Nitro Latte in 2016. They serve 180,000 beverages every month and have many fans from both Japan and overseas.
Now, STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY are challenging themselves to something new: Kuramoto Baisen Charyou Kyouya Hachiemon. The shop’s concept is ‘Japanese style.’
The entrance is fitted with a classic Japanese noren, or sign curtain, that walk through to enter. Upon entering, you are greeted by the shop’s simple and modern decor which is decked out with Japanese elements like white wood furniture and tatami mats. Customers can look forward to enjoying their coffee in a relaxed and spacious environment.
The shop is a nod and support to Gifu’s ride to successful tourism and will cure the fatigue of travel for all its customers by offering them top quality experience.
STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY aim to combine coffee with Japanese-style ingredients. Their main event will be their matcha lattes with harnesses their skilfully made coffee with matcha from Uji in Kyoto. They will also serve other Japanese treats using high quality matcha from Kyoto including shaved ice made with syrup-covered anko, soft serve ice cream, and more.
Their coffee cups, too, remind one of Japan. Mino pottery goes back to the Azuchi-Momoyama period of Japan. This traditional pottery ware first came from Tono, which is also located in Takayama, Gifu.
If you’re looking to enjoy coffee and sweets in Japan in an authentic Japanese-style environment, then look nowhere else.

Shin Nakamise Shopping Street in Asakusa runs perpendicular to Nakamise Shopping Street, and it’s there that the new Japanese tea café Yanagi Chaya will open on July 6, 2018.
Asakusa is one of Japan’s most famous tourist destinations and is packed with tourists from both inside and outside of Japan every single day. Yanagi Chaya will open nearby Sensoji Temple which is a significant sightseeing spot for tourists, hailing as the oldest temple in Tokyo. The café’s ideal location means that those strolling around Asakusa can pop in for drinks and desserts.

There’s plenty more on the menu too where that came from.
Both the tiramisu and dumplings are something you’ll want a photo of. There’s also an original takeout matcha drink you can sip on which is made from a matcha called Tomo no Mori by Mori no Han who’ve been around since 1836. It’s served in Yanagi Chaya’s own bottles so you can take it around Asakusa with you as you explore the sites.

Sweet shop Kuriya Kashi Kurogi and roastery cafe Sarutahiko Coffee are collaborating to open their own cafe for a limited period from August 12 to November 11.
Both chains have innovated the worlds of traditional Japanese food and coffee respectively and are now coming together to co-open a new cafe.
The highlight of this collaboration are the two original shaved ice flavours, ‘Sumitachibana’ and ‘Sumizumi,’ both of which can’t be found anywhere else.
Sumitachibana is a mix of cold-brew coffee syrup, sudachi citrus syrup, and a homemade cream cheese. It’s a never-before-seen combination that is both rich and refreshing.
The coffee served at the cafe is made using rare beans that won Cup Of Essence (COE) and geisha beans. Every mug of this drip coffee is made carefully one by one.
The cafe interior uses white as a base colour and is decked out with handmade antique wood and aluminium furniture to give it a unique but mellow atmosphere.
Enjoy a relaxing time with a mug of high class coffee and Japanese sweets made using carefully selected ingredients.

Tsutaya Bookstore Mirai Nagasaki Cocowalk is a new bookshop and cafe combination that opened on July 20 in Nagasaki Prefecture which people of all ages can enjoy.
There are 200 seats at the book and cafe space that are as comfortable as if you were in your home living room. Order a delicious cup of coffee and choose some reading material from a selection of different books, or gaze the townscape of Nagasaki from the window.

Located along the Meguro River, Haute Couture Cafe is known for serving up some of the best afternoon tea in Tokyo. The popular idol group Shuritsu Ebisu Chugaku will open a one-day-only cafe in Omotesando on May 1, 2022! The location will open in conjunction with CookpadTV, which hosts the popular show ‘Shiritsu Ebisu Culinary Institute.’
The members of Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku are passionate about cooking, making this the perfect project.
