Popular anime series Grand Blue is teaming up with 46 Shokudo to open a collaborative café called Grand Blue Shokudo themed on the series. The café will open on September 3 and run until October 8.

The theme of Grand Blue Shokudo is ‘a house by the sea.’ The menu will be packed with themed food and meals including Food Stall Snacks, Ramen, Nanaka & Chisa’s Sisterly Curry, Kebako’s Keba Keba Waffle, and more.
For merchandise, they will be selling two sets of pin badges.
The café is expected to be bustling with fans, so you must make a reservation in advance. Those who make a reservation will receive an original coaster as a gift. Those who order at the café will receive another coaster selected randomly from a possible 10 designs per order they make.

ZooPM Café, which was first opened in 2016 for a limited time, is getting a revamp and is reopening from August 31 to October 8.
The café is themed on the popular South Korean boy band 2PM. Each has their own distinct apron which you will see being worn at the café. Look out for your favourite member's colour! You can also look forward to tucking into six different macarons based on the colours of each member, all with the café logo printed on them. The menu is entirely 2PM themed. Select from Pan. J.S. PANCAKE CAFE is a pancake shop run by Japanese apparel brand JOURNAL STANDARD. They are teaming up with The Very Hungry Caterpillar to turn their cafés into the world of the internationally beloved picture book. The collaboration will begin at 11 branches of J.S. PANCAKE CAFE and 1 branch of J.S. FOODIES from mid-September this year and run for four months. J.S. PANCAKE CAFE offers a diverse pancake menu, serving everything from sweet types to salty types and all made using delicious 100% wheat flour made in Japan. The café is enjoyed thoroughly by kids and adults alike. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a children's picture book designed, written and illustrated by American author Eric Carle. It was first published in 1969 and has gone on to be translated in over 60 languages worldwide with over 44 million copies sold. Carle is lauded for his skill with colour, and his vivid imagination will be faithfully brought to life in the pancakes served at the cafés.
The four month duration the cafés will be open from September to December will reflect both the growth of the caterpillar as well as the story of the book. The first month, September, will represent the sun on the day that the caterpillar was born. In October, he will eat fruits and grow. In November he will enter his cocoon. Finally, in December, he will turn into a butterfly. All of this will be illustrated on the pancakes each month. To celebrate the return of Urusei Yatsura after 36 long years, a themed cafe will be coming to four cities in Japan for a limited time! The first cafe will open on December 1, 2022. Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi that ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1978 until 1987. An anime series aired in 1981 and became a massive hit with audiences, and understandably, it is still loved by anime and manga fans today. The cafe features newly-drawn illustrations of six main characters including Ataru Moroboshi, Lum, and Ten.

The second Tabekko Doubutsu Cafe Stand event opened in Omotesando on November 1, 2022. Paying homage to the classic snack first released in 1978, the cafe features a number of tasty snacks inspired by the thin animal-shaped cookies popular around the world. This second event will run through January 9, 2023. Reservations are required, and many dates were completely sold out prior to the event’s start date, particularly on weekends. We decided to visit, anxious to see what the fuss is all about.
We were first shocked to see the popular animals enjoying oden! Original goods featuring the characters enjoying the quintessential Japanese winter dish are only available at the cafe. From acrylic keychains to figures, visitors can snag some adorable merchandise to commemorate their trip to the exclusive event. Why not snag some items that would be useful on a daily basis, like a notebook or an apron? For food, visitors can snag a special Oden Set and Chinese Dumplings, both perfect for the winter. The oden features popular ingredients like egg, daikon, fish cake, and mochikinchaku, each branded with the popular animal characters. Drinks include soy milk, green tea milk, and milk tea. In addition to the exclusive Lion Cake which is limited to 25 servings a day, guests can find chocolate bananas and other sweets on the menu, including a Sweets Set limited to those reserving special seats at the venue. For every ¥1,000 spent on food and drink items, customers will receive one Tabekko Doubutsu trading card! The exhibition space is a must-see for fans of this legendary snack, filled with rare works including an adorable and very colorful print of every animal holding a bowl of oden.
