TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS opened in December last year and with its selection of puzzles and escape games has gone on to gain much popularity with not only the Japanese guys and girls but tourists from overseas too.
The theme park is introducing a brand new Case Closed themed escape game titled ‘Escape From Project ZERO.’ To promote the game, the park will hold a free puzzle-solving game titled ‘Shikakerareta Denpa Bakudan o Kaijo Se Yo!’ from September 6 on weekdays.
The game is a prequel to the escape game in which you must join hands with Conan and Rei to search TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS, locate the bomb and diffuse it. If you can beat the game then you may just get a referral from Rei for the escape game.
There will also be a range of original merchandise on sale from September 6 too, including items based on the escape game, as well 7 different randomly selected key rings made in collaboration with TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS drawn by the park’s official character Kumakey. Two of the designs are a secret.

Real Escape Games invite guests to become the main character in their own story as they solve riddles and explore unique stories. Tokyo Mystery Circus, the world’s first and largest ‘mystery’ theme park, will start its collaboration with Demon Slayer: Mugen Train on October 27, 2022. The event will run until January 24, 2023.

They have collaborated with Detective Conan since 2013 during which over 1.3 million people have played. The newest entry to the series is Escape From the Scarlet Investigation (Blood Task Force).

Chihayafuru Anime Gets Escape Game at TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS

TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS, Japan’s first and biggest puzzle-themed theme park, has announced the opening of a new escape game based on the popular manga anime series Chihayafuru which will begin at the site on March 4, 2021.
The immersive story-driven escape game has players take on the role of a member of the Fujiyama High School karuta club. While learning the essential points of competitive karuta from Chigaya Ayase and the gang, they must aim for victory to escape. No prior preparations are necessary – players can book their tickets and just turn up on the day.
This unique escape game takes place in a traditional tatami mat room and combines puzzle-solving skills with competitive karuta in which clues are written on the cards. Fans of the manga and anime series are sure to enjoy this immersive game.
Tickets will go on sale on January 23, 2021 at 12:00 (JST).

TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS has announced an extension of its ongoing SCRAP x SNOOPY Puzzle Game Project.
The SCRAP x SNOOPY Puzzle Game Project invites visitors to join Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang for a whole bunch of puzzle-solving fun. There’s also exclusive merchandise for Snoopy fans to get their hands on. The project was originally scheduled to end on December 31, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people were unable to attend which resulted in demand for an extension.
There are three puzzle experiences for people to enjoy including “Snoopy and the Clue Solving Circus,” “Snoopy and the Secret Recipe,” and “Snoopy and the Mysterious Painting.” Each has players getting their own puzzle-solving kit which they must use in conjunction with the phone app LINE. The puzzles have them running around TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS, Japan’s first and biggest puzzle theme park.
Visitors can tuck into a range of Snoopy themed food as well as get their hands on over 30 pieces of original merchandise from tote bags to handkerchiefs, origami, and more.

TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS Announces Escape Game Based On J-Pop Group Perfume

TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS, the world’s first and Japan’s biggest puzzle-themed theme park, has announced a new escape game centred on the Japanese pop group Perfume. Titled “Escape From The Room Next To Perfume,” the game is set to hit the indoor theme park on September 22, 2020.
An escape game is a real-life interactive experience that has players solving puzzles to escape a room. The story of the Perfume game puts players on the same team as Perfume. As players wait in anticipation, an LED display made to look like a window opens to reveal the Perfume members, who greet players and encourage them on their escape. And so begins the game.
There are various items and pieces of information in the room for players to solve the puzzle, including dance poses by Perfume which give hints for the next step. It’s an interactive experience that makes it feel like Perfume are really there with you.
Perfume fans can get their hands on a range of exclusive merchandise too, like a sticker set, folder, and message cards. These items will be sold at the TMC GOODS SHOP at Tokyo Mystery Circus as well as the online stores SCRAP GOODS SHOP and Perfume’s own A!SMART.

Japanese real-life escape game creator company SCRAP has launched yet another new remote escape game that began on Tuesday and will run until May 31, 2020.
“Escape From the Forgotten Laboratory” is a real-life escape game created by SCRAP that’s held at the world’s first and Japan’s biggest puzzle-themed theme park TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS. The site has teamed up with SCRAP to bring a new remote version of the game that makes use of the video call service Zoom so people can enjoy the game from the comfort of their homes.
Escape From the Forgotten Laboratory was first held for a limited time back in 2014 and was voted as SCRAP’s best event. It reappeared in 2017 and was finally introduced to TOKYO MYSTERY CIRCUS in February 2019. A team of up to six people take part in the game, which has been so popular that you have to buy tickets two months in advance to play. It is said to be the hardest escape game at the site to get tickets for.
Players have 60 minutes to escape the laboratory where they must solve mysteries left behind by a mad scientist, and must uncover the mystery surrounding an android that has been left behind. In the remote version, the story has been left exactly the sameーthe only difference is that even more challenges have been added to up the fun.
Only group tickets are available for the game, so team up with your friends and escape from the Forgotten Laboratory!

In the lead up to the Gundam and Hello Kitty games arriving at Tokyo Mystery Circus on July 18, which is being held as part of the ongoing Gundam vs. Hello Kitty Project, a special event titled “Gundam vs. Hello Kitty DJ Night” will take place at the site on July 17.

Joining the event as a special guest will be DJ Caeser, who was put in charge of the song choice for the Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary BEST ANIME MIX which made it to No.1 on Oricon’s Anime Weekly charts. Alongsidehim will be DJ Hello Kitty who is set to bring the house down with her cute and fiery energy. It will be held as an invitation-only event which people can be invited to by signing up. Winners will be chosen randomly.

As part of the “Gundam vs. Hello Kitty Project,” both franchises are set to get their very own puzzle games at Tokyo Mystery Circus on July 18.
The Mobile Suit Gundam game, titled Gundam Kidou Sakusen (“Gundam Tactics Activate”), will see you seeking to finish building a Gundam while avoiding being attacked by the Principality of Zeon. Using AR technology, complete your mission together with Amuro Ray.
The Hello Kitty game, titled “Hello Kitty’s Night Museum,” follows a string of themes following the history of the character from when she was born to today and in the future. Using Tokyo Mystery Circus’s puzzle-solving book, you will traverse through the Night Museum and complete numerous stories. You will hear voice messages from Hello Kitty herself, there will be a popcorn machine, illustrations of Hello Kitty by popular manga author Arina Tanemura, and more.
A campaign will also run which will determine who the winner will be between Hello Kitty and Gundam. This will be decided depending on the amount of clears of each respective event. The number of votes will be displayed at Tokyo Mystery Circus. A themed menu will also be served.

Disney’s classic movie Aladdin is now a live-action film! The poor, young Aladdin meets the rich princess Jasmine, and through fate, they encounter a magical genie in a lamp! The genie, who can grant three wishes, sets them on an adventure to seek what they really desire! Not only can you enjoy the movie’s signature song “A Whole New World”, but the live-action film features new songs created by the music teams behind La La Land and the Greatest Showman. Disney’s high movie quality reputation and Will Smith’s appearance as the Genie in the film are quite big topics in the news right now!

Detective Conan Skateboard Game Announced for Nintendo Switch™ Release

Detective Conan Skateboard Run: Kaito Kid and the Mysterious Treasure is the first ever Detective Conan game for the Nintendo Switch™ set to arrive on the Nintendo eShop sometime in April 2019.
A 3D skating action game, the title will coincide with the release of the newest Detective Conan film The Fist of Blue Sapphire hitting Japanese cinemas on April 12, 2019.
Play as Conan and jump on an engine-equipped skateboard to high jump, do tricks and shoot soccer.
The game is set in an enormous theme park built by Sonoko Suzuki’s grandfather Jirokichi Suzuki. There are three areas and 30 stages to enjoy.
During the gameplay Kaito Kid will make a sudden appearance and try to knock Conan off his skateboard with giant balls, cards and other gimmicks.
Conan’s comrades will make an appearance to give him support through 10 different skills.
Minami Takayama and Kappei Yamaguchi will lend their voices for Conan and Kaito Kid respectively.
Jump on your board and stop Kaito Kid from his antics!
