Tokyu Recreation are set to open TYFFONIUM in Shibuya on November 23, 2018, a next-gen entertainment facility that makes use of mixed reality (MR) which is a combination of virtual reality and augmented reality. Combining real and virtual worlds, the facility will offer not just games, but a new way to enjoy MR that will have uses experiencing different attractions.
There will be two different MR attractions available when TYFFONIUM opens. Look forward to immersing yourself in “Corridor,” an innovative horror experience that will have you walking around a mixed reality world. Or board the ship in “FLUCTUS,” a fantasy themed attraction that takes you on a mysterious voyage where the boundaries between life and death touch.=
TYFFONIUM plans to develop even more content for people to enjoy. It’s not often you’re able to play in a huge party of people in a virtual space like this, so be sure to experience it yourself in Shibuya.

Japan's biggest VR entertainment facility VR ZONE SHINJUKU introduced Dragon Quest VR to its establishment on April 27, 2018. An opening event was held prior to its introduction on April 25 to up the excitement.
Taking to the stage at the opening event was Square Enix producer Ryutaro Ichimura, Takamasa Hamano of Bandai Namco Amusement, and Yuji Horii, the creator of Dragon Quest. Horii spoke joyfully, saying "It's been 30 years since Dragon Quest was born. This world that is laid before me is something out of a dream."
The centre tree in the middle of the venue illuminated with the shout of Lynn. Projection mapping was used to display Yggdrasil, a quintessential sight of the Dragon Quest series.
Guests were able to get involved in VR activities after the stage talks. The moment everyone hooked themselves up to the VR they were blown away by how much it looked like they were in the world of Dragon Quest, and how expansive the green plains were.

An application for smartphones and tablets called “VR Uwajimajo ~Yomigaeru Date na Shiro~” can be downloaded via App Store and Google Play. By using this application, you can go back to the Edo Period and view Uwajima Castle using V/AR.
Uwajima Castle which is considered to be one of the 12 castles with a castle keeps and is also considered to be one of the 100 greatest castles in Japan. Just a part of the castle’s castle keep and gate remains other than the stall, so this application was created to virtually restore the original form of the castle.

■Uwajima Castle Reconstruct VR
You can experience the restoration of the castle by entering the world of CG (360° panorama). There are four spots in the castle where you can enjoy this experiment. Sannomaru Goten which used to be in front of the castle was also recreated. You can learn that the location of today’s city used to be ocean.
■Keicho Tensyu was restored in the world of AR
“Keicho Tenshu (castle keep) can be viewed using AR which was created by the castle-building artisan Todo Takatora. You can enjoy this precisely-constructed castle keep which is known as “one of the most unique castle keeps in Japan.”
■Taking photos with the family head
Date Munenari was the 8th family head of the Uwajima domain and he is known as “one of the four leading family heads in the Bakumatsu (end of Edo Period) Era. The first family head of the Uwajima domain, Date Hidemune and his father “one-eyed dragon” Date Masamune are reborn in the world of AR. You can take photos with them.

Commentary of 11 points inside/outside of the castle such as the entrance gate and well can be viewed.
■Small castle keep can be viewed by using the marker card!
By projecting the two kinds of marker cards using this application, you can view the white castle keep “Kanbun Castle Keep“ which still remains and the black castle keep “Keicho Castle Keep!”

In commemoration of the releasement (14th of December – Thurs.) of “RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard,” VirtuaLink and “Konica Minolta VirtuaLink in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza” will hold a collaborative event which offers new group-experiment-base VR attractions.
Persons who play the normal VR experiment version at “VirtuaLink” within the designated period can play “Bio Hazard 7 Teaser ~Beginning Hour~” via VR.
“VirtuaLink” is a new group-based VR experience attraction which connects people, not just virtual world with the real world.
Your precious family, friends and persons who you meet for the first time can synchronize inside the world of VR. I am sure that you will be surprised and deepen your bonds with other people by sharing a same experience.
One of the popular VR attractions “Wonder Pod” can be played by up to 36 persons and is a collaboration-based VR attraction. The mission of the attraction is to solve the missions with other players in cosmic space. The viewpoint changes in accordance to the angle of one’s head. You can have an awesome experience in cosmic space but if you can’t cooperate with other players, something bad might happen… Your result will be displayed after finishing the attraction so let’s try to get a good score. The beautiful scenery of cosmic space (360 degrees) is a must see.
In this collaborative event, the symbolic character of “Bio Hazard 7” “Jack Bake’s” life-size figure will be installed inside the venue of “VirtuaLink.”

Mika Pikazo is an illustrator and character designer. The artist has designed characters for many popular titles including Fire Emblem Engage, the latest in Nintendo's Fire Emblem series, as well as book covers and CD jackets.Starting December 10, the artist will hold his second solo exhibition in three years at the Hz event space in Shibuya.According to a press release, the exhibition is being held to show a number of creations Pikazo has made recently, and aims to show off new animation and past illustrations to merge his past and future selves. The creator hopes to challenge himself more going forward.The first main visual, REVENGE, can be seen on the exhibition’s official website. A total of three visuals have been newly drawn for the event and will be released sequentially. Reebok has appointed a number of popular artists in Japan and abroad to take part in their new campaign titled ‘Life is Not a Spectator Sport -Move, Move!-’ This collaboration started in March 2022.As a part of this collaboration, Reebok is teaming up with the manga series Eren the Southpaw. Kappa’s popular ensemble drama highlights a number of creators, and has a very poignant tagline: “To all those who couldn’t become geniuses.” Reebok’s brand message matches this and is meant to be a manifesto for life, telling people to never give up, act on their own convictions, and find their own path.

To commemorate the release of Reebok’s flagship model INSTAPUMP FURY 95 in Sax Blue, a huge piece of window art was redrawn by Kappi. The artist also provided an original manga featuring an entirely new story. Fans can find this at the Reebok Classic Store Harajuku and on the official Reebok Twitter page. The Reebok stores in Harajuku and Shibuya have also been completely taken over by Eren the Southpaw, completely decorated from top to bottom in images from the series.
