The annual event, “ROPPONGI HILLS HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2018” where visitors can enjoy foods and services related to Halloween, will be held at Roppongi Hills from October 11th (Thurs.) to 31st (Wed.) 2018.
Many kinds of unique and fun “Halloween-limited events” will be held at Roppongi Hills. This year, various menu items including items where you can change the taste by pouring a blood-looking sauce over it and delicious, photogenic items can be enjoyed.
Since the Tokyo International Film Festival is held on October 27th (Sat.), right before Halloween, a Halloween parade using the motifs of movie characters will be held in Roppongi. Also, you can enjoy many kinds of contents including a nail make up service and a stamp rally.
Roppongi Hills Halloween Parade ~Let’s dress up like movie characters and join the parade~
The 16th “Halloween Parade” was held last year with about 3,000 participants. Because the Tokyo International Film Festival is held in Roppongi and it is known as the “city of movies” where many Japan premiers are held, the theme of the parade is “movies.” Both children and adults will get dressed up as movie characters and join the parade. The parade, led by a brass band playing Halloween music, will depart from Roppongi Hills Arena and walk for about 25 minutes (1km). Children who join the parade can get some snacks.

Halloween Kids Stamp Rally
This is a service where you can collect stamps at six stores (out of 21 stores) located inside Roppongi Hills. A stamp card can be obtained at “Roppongi Hills Information Center” located inside Roppongi Hills Mori Tower 2F. A specially made soft-served ice cream will be offered at “Grand Food Hall” which was opened in Hill Side B2F on September 13th.

This item is a pumpkin face made with pie dough that boosts the atmosphere of Halloween. Cold caramel ice cream is placed on top of the hot apple pie so you can enjoy both crispy and soft textures at the same time. From November 11 until December 25, 2022, Roppongi Hills Christmas will cover Tokyo in glittering lights once again. The Keyakizaka Lights, one of Tokyo’s most popular winter attractions, will also take place in 2022, with the 400-meter-long Keyakizaka street covered in over 800,000 blue and white LED lights. For the first time in three years, the Mohri Garden will be covered in lights as well. The annual Christmas market will invite guests to experience an authentic German Christmas, and Christmas cakes and gourmet food unique to Roppongi Hills will be for sale. The Roppongi Hills Christmas event utilizes LED lights and has done so since the first event was held in 2003. Clean power will be used again this year, and the lights will be switched on from 5 PM until 11 PM each night.

In conjunction with the autumn segment of Setouchi Triennale 2022, the Yokai Halloween 2022 event will be held for the first time at the Yokai Art Museum in Shodoshima in Kagawa. During the event, guests can take part in the Halloween Night Yokai Tour on Saturdays, which will invite them to transform into terrifying ghouls! Each guest will receive a yokai mask and will be tasked to test their courage in this unique Halloween event. Those visiting the museum in costume will receive a discount, and visitors can also enjoy some spooky treats at the Yokai Bar. This is one museum horror fans won’t want to miss!

Unlike daytime, the Yokai Art Museum is filled with a mysterious energy at night. With a flashlight in hand, staff members will lead guests on a tour through the museum, which exhibits more than 800 yokai sculptures. Visitors can wear yokai masks and costumes, and unlike a haunted house, you won’t need to worry about yokai jumping out at you. However, the staff may ask you to keep an eye out for anything mysterious. Digital art collective NAKED will hold a special Halloween projection mapping show at Tokyo Tower! The Tokyo Tower City Light Fantasia ~Halloween Party 2022~ event will run from September 16 until October 31 on the 2nd floor of the tower’s main deck. NAKED has collaborated with Tokyo Tower in the past to create shows inspired by the seasons. These incredible illuminations captivate audiences at night, and this fall, visitors will be captivated by autumn leaves dancing in the breeze along with silvergrass swaying and the sound of chirping insects. The scene will eventually change into something more spooky–a ghost will appear alongside witches, bats, and pumpkins!
