Sanrio Puroland will hold a white Christmas themed event this winter which will run from November 9 to December 25.
The Puro Christmas is a brand new musical show arriving at the park to warm the hearts of its guests this Christmas. It will be centred around Hello Kitty and the Little Twin Stars (Kiki and Lala) who will be joined by some other familiar faces. The show will contain lots of Christmas songs and guests will be pulled into a winter wonderland as gorgeous flurries of snow will fall before them.
Magical Snow is a new attraction made in collaboration with NAKED that will run for a limited time. It will take place at Kiki & Lala Twinkling Tour, an attraction based on the Yume Star-Cloud where Kiki and Lala were born. The attraction will turn into a snowy world for this Christmas only.
The White Twinkling Tree will be adorned with Christmas ornaments. Guests can also snap a photo at the Twinkling Moon Ride with a magical amusement park atop a cloud in the background. Projection mapping will be used on a white tree amongst lots of other things allowing for plenty of photo opportunities.

A gigantic 4m wide Pompompurin is set to land at Shibuya Stream from October 4 to 11 and at Nakano Central Park from October 13 to 14.
There are cries for reforms on the way people work in Japan. Sanrio have heard those calls and have come up with a plan for those unable to get sufficient rest and sleep. Sanrio’s character Pompompurin is an expert at afternoon naps, so they are inviting people to a new park they have produced where they can relax and enjoy a siesta.
There’s a lot more to enjoy at Pompompurin’s park too. A crane camera is placed above Purin, who is sleeping soundly, so you can have your photo taken next to him. They will also be selling crepes themed on the Sanrio cast. Also, the first 500 people to post a photo of themselves at the event onto social media will receive some Pompompurin chocolate with an omikuji fortune slip. Not only that – My Melody, Hello Kitty and Kero Kero Keroppi will also come to lpay at the park from October 6 to 8.
Those who attend will also have access to pre-sales of some new Pompompurin merchandise including products with afternoon nap designs and staying up late designs. If you spend over ¥1,500 including tax on these products you will receive a set of two postcards as a present. The merchandise shop will be at Shibuya Stream only from October 4 to 8.
The afternoon nap design series of merchandise will also get pre-sales at 18 branches of KIDDY LAND. Those who purchase any Pompompurin products including this series and spend over ¥1,500 will receive a different set of two postcards from those at the park. These postcards will discontinue after the event has finished.

“Pompompurin Café” – Yokohama Store is a café using the motif of Pompompurin, a very popular character of Sanrio. At this café you can also meet another popular Sanrio character, “Gudetama.” From the 5th of September (Wed.) to the 30th of November (Fri.), four menu items are being debuted in commemoration of Gudetama’s 5th anniversary. These menu items will also be sold at “Pompompurin Café” -Nagoya Store from the 1st of October (Mon.) to the 31st(wed.).
Furthermore, a “Gudetama Café” is now open in “Dining Park Ikebukuro” located inside of Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store. It was opened on the 26 of June and will be open until the 24th of September. The café was created under the concept of, “the lazy character, Gudetama went to space” in commemoration of Gutetama’s 5th anniversary. This time, they will sell four limited menu items.

With just a small bit of ingenuity, turn everyday food into something cute using Kaori’s recipe series! With a few simple ideas, an ordinary recipe magically transforms into a cute dish.
For this recipe, you’ll learn how make mini Pompompurin pumpkin tarts! This is a simple recipe you can make with just a blender.
1: Ingredients
12 Tart shells
150g Pumpkin (deseeded, skin taken off and made soft)
50ml Fresh cream (In this recipe I used soy milk)
20-30g Sugar (Depending on the sweetness of the pumpkin)
1 Egg yolk (small egg)
Sliced Chocolate
Tinned yellow peach
2: Steam and make the pumpkin soft in the microwave. Place the softened pumpkin, sugar, fresh cream (or soy milk) and egg yolk into a blender.
3: Blitz until it’s mixed like in the photo above.
4: Pour the mixture from Step 3 into the tart shells and place into a 180℃ preheated oven. Lower the temperature to 140-150℃ and cook for 10-15 minutes. (You don’t want to brown anything, so we cook it on a low heat.)
If it looks like it’s about to start browning, cover with aluminium foil as this will prevent it from burning.
5: Once your cooked tarts have fully cooled down, use a round cutter to make a hat out of chocolate and a tear-drop cutter to make ears out of the yellow peach. The round ball on top of the hat can be made by breaking off some sliced chocolate and rolling it with your fingers.
Finally, drawn on the eyes, nose and mouth with a warmed chocolate pen!
The crunchy tart shells and moist pumpkin paste go pair together wonderfully! And the sourness from the yellow peach is perfect, making is really tasty♡

The Mine City Tourism Association has announced a Christmas & Valentine’s Day event at Akiyoshido Cave, one of the largest limestone caves in Japan. The event will see the natural wonder illuminated by a number of colorful lights. The Metaverse event that was a smash hit in 2021 will be returning in 2023! Sanrio Virtual Festival 2023 in Sanrio Puroland, one of the world’s largest music festivals blending both the real and virtual worlds, will be held starting January 13, 2023.
A lineup of high-profile performers has been announced, including Airi Suzuki, SKY-HI, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, and Aoi Fuji. Popular singer Eve will sing the theme song for the film Black Night Parade, coming to theaters nationwide on December 23, 2022. A new trailer featuring the track has also been released alongside the announcement.
Eve’s YouTube channel has over 4.2 million subscribers with video views of over 1.9 billion. The new song, Shirayuki, was written by the singer himself, who has become incredibly popular with overseas music fans as well. The track manages to be both gentle and powerful in equal measure, combining an orchestra with Eve’s unique vocals. In conjunction with the release of the trailer, an exclusive pre-release version of the song has been posted to TikTok.

Black Night Parade was originally manga series by Hikaru Nakamura, the creator of Arakawa Under the Bridge and Saint Young Men. The live-action film will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda, who has worked on a number of live-action film adaptations of manga series including Gintama and Kyo Kara Ore Wa! Fukuda also wrote the screenplay along with Tetsuo Kamata. The protagonist Miharu Hino will be played by Ryo Yoshizawa, while Shino Hojo will be played by Kanna Hashimoto. Taishi Nakagawa will play Kaizer Tanaka and Keisuke Watanabe will play Teppei Kohira.
The story follows Miharu Hino, a man who is completely hopeless at everything he does. He failed his entrance exam, failed at job hunting, and has no love life to speak of. After working at a convenience store for three years, he meets a man in a black Santa suit who kidnaps him, offering him a job. Miharu then begins working at Santa Claus House, a mysterious company at the North Pole that delivers gifts to children around the world.

The Sailor Moon franchise’s 30th-anniversary museum is open from July 1 to December 30 at Tokyo’s Roppongi Museum. The series became a global phenomenon in the 1990s and remains incredibly popular with audiences around the world to this day. The museum itself is located near Azabu-Juban, where Sailor Moon took place.
Volume 3 of the museum, the final installment, will take place from November 12 until the museum closes on December 30. During this period, fans can see over 100 pieces of rare Sailor Moon goods from its run in Nakayoshi magazine.All of the original color drawings currently on display will be replaced, with over 60 new pieces being added including previously unreleased works. Fans will also get a glimpse of the original drawing that appeared on the cover of Nakayoshi when the final chapter of Sailor Moon was published!

This year’s motif is the ‘Christmas Wreath,’ meant to symbolize peace, eternity, and happiness. Featuring a massive Morello cherry, this is the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends and family.
The cake features a pistachio ganache and cheese ganache transformed to look like powdery snow, with each dessert decorated with chocolate candy canes, teddy bears, stars, and ribbon cookies.
The beautiful cross-section shows four luxurious layers: Morello cherry mousse, caramel mousse, crepe dough filled with hazelnuts and chocolate, and rich chocolate genoise. Cakes are available to order from anywhere in the country and are delivered in a beautiful box.

From November 17 until December 25, Tokyo Midtown will hold the popular Midtown Christmas event for 2022!
Adults and children are sure to love this massive Christmas event. Each year, a massive Christmas tree appears in Tokyo Midtown, but this year’s festivities will also throw some more unique pieces of art into the mix.
This year, visitors will see golden lights on the city’s trees, as well as a pop-up Christmas tree inspired by party poppers. Lights and music will join together to make guests feel as though they’ve walked into an outdoor theater, and the popular ice skating rink will once again be open for everyone to enjoy. From November 11 until December 25, 2022, Roppongi Hills Christmas will cover Tokyo in glittering lights once again. The Keyakizaka Lights, one of Tokyo’s most popular winter attractions, will also take place in 2022, with the 400-meter-long Keyakizaka street covered in over 800,000 blue and white LED lights.
For the first time in three years, the Mohri Garden will be covered in lights as well. The annual Christmas market will invite guests to experience an authentic German Christmas, and Christmas cakes and gourmet food unique to Roppongi Hills will be for sale.
The Roppongi Hills Christmas event utilizes LED lights and has done so since the first event was held in 2003. Clean power will be used again this year, and the lights will be switched on from 5 PM until 11 PM each night.
