Dempagumi.inc’s Nemu Yumemi Announces Departure From Group & Retirement From Entertainment Industry

Dempagumi.inc announced at their two-date solo tour at Sakurazaka Central in Okinawa on October 13 and 14 that they will perform at the Nippon Budokan on January 6 and 7 next year. Group member Nemu Yumemi also announced that she will depart from the group following January 7 and retire from the entertainment industry at the end of March.

Both Budokan shows have their own respective titles. Translated from Japanese, the January 6 concert is named Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: We Are Dempagumi.inc ~Returning From Space~ while the January 6 concert is named Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: Nemu Yumemi’s Graduation Performance ~A New Journey~.

 

Nemu Yumemi will release her first solo album Yumemi Jidai on November 21. Dempagumi.inc will release a new album titled Ware Ware Dempagumi.inc Da (“We Are Dempagumic.inc.”) on January 1, 2019.

Nemu Yumemi joined Dempagumi.inc in June 2009. November 2018 will mark her 10th anniversary as an entertainer. She has chosen to use the experienced she has gained to walk a new path in life.     The popular Akihabara-based idol group Dempagumi.inc has announced that the new single The Legend of Ancient Akiba will be released digitally on March 15, 2023. The group first performed the song live on March 5 at J:COM Hall Hachioji during their nationwide ONE NATION UNDER THE DEMPA TOUR. The track is a traditionally adorable moe moe kyun track updated for the modern age by ARM (IOSYS), a popular creator of Dempagumi.inc tracks, and MOSAIC.WAV.   The jacket photo and solo artist photos for the digital single, created by hanavbara, have also been released.

  • Dempagumi.inc Says Goodbye to Eimi Naruse and Welcomes 5 New Members

    Japanese idol group Dempagumi.inc performed at Team Smile Toyosu PIT this week on February 15 and 16 where they said goodbye to Eimi Naruse, a member who first joined the group back in 2010. During the encore of the second day concert, the group announced that five new members are being added to Dempagumi.inc, bringing the total number up to 10.The new line-up now includes original members Mirin Furukawa, Risa Aizawa, Ayane Fujisaki, Rin Kaname, and Nagi Nemoto, and new members Aikawa Kozue, Amasawa Rito, Kobato Ria, Sorano Aozora, and Takasaki Hina. They performed the brand new song Princess Dempa Power! Shine On! at the encore. The track was written by Kenichi Maeyamada, also known as Hyadain. They also performed the deep number Future Diver as their new formation.   The new members Aikawa Kozue, Amasawa Rito (RITO/meme tokyo.), Kobato Ria, Sorano Aozora (ARCANA PROJECT), and Takasaki Hina (Niji no Fantastica) will launch Dempagumi.inc into all new heights. Amasawa Rito, Sorano Aozora, and Takasaki Hina's previous projects, which were meme tokyo., ARCANA PROJECT, and Niji no Fantastica respectively, are units also signed to DearStage like Dempagumi.   The new Dempagumi.inc will hold their first even together at the end of March for fan club members which will be dance rehearsals for future live shows.     A collaboration has been announced between Japanese idol group Dempagumi.inc and the 2018 anime series Zombie Land Saga. Titled "Akiba Division vs Saga Division," the collaboration will see Dempagumi.inc, who are based in Akihabara (also known as Akiba), and Franchouchouーthe idol group from Zombie Land Sagaーwho are based in Saga Prefecture, battle it out.   Details on how this battle will unfold and in what form have yet to be announced, but we can only begin to imagine what a clash between these two would entail: Dempagumi, who are out to save the universe, and Franchouchou, a collective of girls resurrected as zombies to save Saga.   A campaign will be held for two people to win a card signed by the Dempagumi.inc and Franchouchou members will also be held at a later date.     After performing in Tokyo and Osaka, female idol group Dempagumi. Inc finished their live house tour on 30th April in Nagoya. A live video of their performance of Inochi no Yorokobi at Diamond Hall, Nagoya has now been released on YouTube. The new song, the music and lyrics of which were composed by Tamaya 2060%, will be released in the form of a single on 26th June. During their live concert, Dempagumi surprised the audience by dropping an unheard-of new song way before its planned release later in the year.     The girls also announced that there will be an additional live performance to their hall tour UHHA! YAAA!! TOUR!!! 2019. The new live concert will take place at Talk Net Hall, Sendai on 6th August; the same day as their new single release .     Dempagumi.inc performed two days at Nippon Budokan on January 6 and 7 to 20,000 fans. Two new members, Rin Kaname and Nagi Nemoto, joined the group on December 30, 2017. The seven-member group performed a historical set list of the group's discography to the Budokan crowd. Both days had their own title. Day one was named "Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: We Are Dempagumi.inc ~Returning From Space~." On the second day, titled "Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: Nemu Yumemi's Graduation Performance ~A New Journey~," long-time member Nemu Yumemi departed from the group. Dempagumi.inc will continue as a six-member unit with Mirin Furukawa, Risa Aizawa, Eimi Naruse, Ayane Fujisaki, Rin Kaname and Nagi Nemoto.
