IPPUDO Opens New Branch in Western Australia’s Capital City Perth

Japanese restaurant IPPUDO held the grand opening of its new branch in Westfield Carousel in Perth, Western Australia on November 8, 2018. This marks the chain’s sixth branch in Australia and second in the city of Perth.

Westfield Carousel is a shopping centre located along the Albany Highway in the South-East region of Perth. The complex is home to a range of shops including the famous upmarket department store David Jones, over 60 boutiques, a rooftop dining area and entertainment facilities.

The new IPPUDO is decked out with the chain’s symbolic red and white colours. The warm-lighted lamps give a comforting atmosphere to the wooden decor and sophisticated space.

It also has a terrace seating area that can be enjoyed for the bar or a relaxing dining experience.

The menu includes a familiar IPPUDO line-up such as the Shiromaru Classic made with a creamy pork broth and served with thin noodles, pork belly and other treats, and the Akamaru Modern made with an original pork broth and enhanced with miso paste and garlic oil. Sides include gyoza and there are desserts, Japanese sake and wine to enjoy.

    Popular Japanese ramen chain Ippudo held the grand opening of its 9th branch in Taiwan Xiutai Wenxin. Having only just opened stores in the Philippines and Thailand, Ippudo have opened yet another branch in Taiwan Xiutai Wenxin. It is located in Taichung in mid-west Taiwan in a place that is about a 15-minute car drive from neighbouring business areas and has few competitors. This region has historical and traditional heritage and expects developments in the near future. They expect their customers to be the families living there, the students of Chung Shan Medical University, and those who come by Shinkansen from Wuri District or Changhua District. The first day the new Ippudo branch opened it was a huge success with a huge line of people waiting to get inside.     The noodles are made using special wheat flour and a unique blend.     Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta

    According to Michelin Guide Tokyo 2016, this is the first ramen shop in the world to receive a Michelin star. The owner Onishi Yuki uses simple and original ingredients and an original preparation method to make this much-adored ramen.     Ajisen Ramen

    The special feature of this Kumamoto ramen is the brown tare sauce called senmiyu that accompanies the Kumamoto tonkotsu ramen. This adds a deep flavour to the white soup broth. Garlic, which is an essential feature of Kumamoto ramen, is a prominent flavour. There are Ajisen Ramen shops in China and Taiwan. It is  a particularly big hit in China.

    This ramen originated in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. At all chains within Japan and in foreign countries, the soup is made from scratch starting from stage one.     This ramen is known nationwide for its rich and unique soup blend that is made up of over 20 varieties of niboshi dried sardines.     Hakata Choten originated from Fukuoka and Kumamoto and eventually opened a shop in France.   • “Ippudo” will open new shops in Thailand and France

    The popular Japanese ramen shop, “Ippudo” will open three new shops in Bangkok, Thailand.

    The lively voices of the local staff and the smiles of the many customers told it all - the 8th shop in Bangkok, got off to a great start.

    The three shops were opened in the following three mega shopping centers, Central Bangna, Mega Bangna and Emquotier. Each store will sell its own original menu items.

    The shops that have dining tables will sell menu items that are not sold in shops in Japan such as “Aburi (burned) Garlic Salmon Sushi” and “Ishiyaki (stone roasted) Unagi (eel) Donburi.” The shops are suitable to be used by families and groups.

     

    Moreover, they opened a third shop in Paris France with the name, “IPPUDO République.”

    The shop is located in front of Jack Bonsergent which takes about 5 minutes on foot from Place de la République where Marianne Statue stands. The area is popular among young people.

    This shop offers some unique menu items such as “Tori Shoyu” that uses healthy chickens produced in France and “Veggie” which uses the broth of vegetables including several mushrooms and fennel, “Nagomi” which uses a broth of chicken chintan (clear soup) and seafood sauce. This shop does not sell any menu items using pork bones.

     

    Ippudo is continuing to introduce the limitless charms of ramen to peoples throughout the world.

  • ROKU: Kyoto’s New Soba Ramen Shop Produced by Michelin-Star Chef

    Kamo Dashi Chuka Soba ROKU is a new ramen restaurant set to open at GOOD NATURE STATION, a shopping facility in Kyoto, on December 12, 2020.   The restaurant is produced by Yuki Iwasaki, a chef at VELROSIER which acquired its first Michelin Star in Michelin Guide 2021 Kyoto, Osaka & Okayama. It will serve ramen in a variety of duck-flavoured dashi broths made with duck from Kyoto and France.

    ROKU will initially offer three types of ramen dishes which includes the two pictured above as well as a special served each season. The Duck Sei Tanmen uses a broth made from a blend of duck meats and has a distinctly refreshing yet rich taste. The Duck Shiro Tanmen uses the same broth but adds chicken to the base together with mayu burnt garlic oil. The restaurant also makes its own thick noodles to enjoy with the soup. No tare sauce is used, allowing for customers to enjoy the umami flavour of the dashi and the various ingredients added.   The ramen bowls used are original wares created by TOKINOHA, a Japanese crockery brand specialising in traditional Kiyomizu ware which are perfect for enjoying your ramen.
