What do you like about Japan? How did you get into it?

I first got into Japan through jpop after finding it on YouTube. I thought it was so fun and different! I then started to learn the song lyrics and through that learnt more about Japan, and I fell in love with lots of things from Japan like the language, food, fashion and the people!

Tell us something you know about Japan that others most likely wouldn’t?

Whenever I mention to my friends that KFC for Christmas is popular in Japan, many people are shocked!

What’s a Japanese Item you hold dear and near and what does it mean to you?

On my way back home from Japan, I bought a giant korilakkuma and it kept my comfy the whole flight home! Whenever I look at it, it reminds me of all the fun memories I had there and makes me want to go on a plane and go back to Japan one day!

What do you like about Japan? How did you get into it?

My story of getting interested in Japan is not very original. As a kid, I was obsessed with all anime aired on tv, especially Sailor Moo and as you can guess, my childhood dream was to become a sailor senshi. Also my both parents trained aikido at that time, so I think that could have some impact on me too. As I grew older, I started reading manga and listening to j-music, even though I was considered a total weirdo. I wanted to know more about japan, I was making school projects about it, I was reading books, and going to many events.

Now, I am big fan of Japanese pop culture and kawaii aesthetics. I am particularly interested in music and fashion. I love how different it is from what we see in Europe. Also, as a great glutton, I adore local food. Even they say, it is easy to lose weight in Japan, for me it’s just opposite, unless I spend too much for clothes.

Tell us something you know about Japan that others most likely wouldn’t?

There is this stereotype that Japanese people are cold when it comes to relationships. I often heard that they never show any affection in public. Maybe 10 years ago it was true but nowadays, I see many couples holding hands, hugging and even kissing in public everyday. It’s not different from other countries.

What’s a Japanese Item you hold dear and near and what does it mean to you?

It’s pretty embarrassing to speak about it but I always have a purikura, I took with my friends, to remember happy times and omamori for good luck. I also usually have my electronic dictionary just in case. ;3

What do you like about Japan? How did you get into it?

As like many children, I got into Japan for first time thanks to anime and manga.

Of course I still love Anime and Manga but also I like J-music, J-fashion, traditional culture and history of Japan…

In Japan there are a lot of subcultures, it is one of the things that most attract me to this country.

I like also Japan as Society, because people are very polite and kind, cities are clean and safe.

Tell us something you know about Japan that others most likely wouldn’t?

I don’t know if it’s a strange hobby or not  but when I said to my Japanese friends, they always surprise!

I like Japanese 80’s female idols/singers,  like Koizumi Kyoko , Nakamori Akina and Iwai Sayuri, but my most favorite 80’s Idol is Kawai Naoko!!

I bought a lot of things about her and I always sing her songs in Karaoke Box ~!

Another of my hobbies is play  Othelo and Koi koi with Hanafuda cards, I teached in some Spanish japanese culture events how to play that games.

What’s a Japanese Item you hold dear and near and what does it mean to you?

I’m always keeping every concert ticket that i went in Japan and every purikura i took with my  dear friends.

What do you like about Japan? How did you get into it?

There’s so many things I like about Japan!

I adore the Language! It’s very beautiful & sometimes cute to listen to! It’s also very fun to learn and speak it! The food is another one of my favourite things! Japan’s food has made me start to try Sushi! Because I don’t normally eat fish!

The fashion is a huge part of my life! I wear lots of different styles and keep up with all the latest styles with “Popteen” Magazine!

I am very passionate about “Cosplay” and have cosplayed many characters from Games, Movies, games and even Kyary Pamyu Pamyu! I also adore “Maid Cafe” Culture too! As I work in a UK based maid cafe!I love the traditional side of Japan too! Kyoto was breath-taking and it is so beautiful! and of course I do love the Anime and J-pop!

I got into Japan from my Family having many Japanese Home Stay students coming to stay at our home from a young age! They would show me lots of the Japanese traditional culture and introduced me to “Sanrio” where I fell in love with the cute character design! They also brought gifts including a beautiful Kimono that was made for me by their mother to wear at their Japanese Culture event in my home town!

Tell us something you know about Japan that others most likely wouldn’t?

When I went to Japan, Something that made me smile and I thought was amazing was when you go to train stations and you need help for a IC Card at the machine, If you press the big “Help” Button, a little tiny window opens and someone pop’s their head out of a little door to help you!

Also when you go on the trains, each station makes adorable little jingles! You can here them on JR Lines!!

cute

What’s a Japanese Item you hold dear and near and what does it mean to you?

This is quite hard to chose because I have so many things from Japan that I cherish close to my heart!

For everyday items I love my Dolly Wink – No.1 Sweet Dolly lashes as I wear these every single day! Wearing These

eyelashes make me feel like I have cute defence armour on to get through the day feeling super cute! haha!

For a sentimental Item that I got from Japan that I hold dear to me would be my little charm I have on my phone which I got the 1st time I visited Japan. It’s of Mrs Potts and Chip from Beauty and The beast which I got in Tokyo Disneyland.

It always reminds me of the “Once Upon A Time” Show in Tokyo Disneyland and makes me remember how magical and special that was!

  • Singer-Songwriter Natsuki Kawanishi to Release New Song ‘Sentimental & Hot Coffee’

    31.October.2024 | MUSIC / Uncategorized

Singer-songwriter Natsuki Kawanishi will release her new song, Sentimental & Hot Coffee, on November 20.

The new track is a sentimental love song that describes the difference in views on love between men and women, as well as the common interval between “being strong” and “wanting to be pampered.” At the start of winter, when people begin to miss the touch of human skin, Kawanishi’s warm and resonant voice aims to soothe the loneliness of the masses.

The song has been selected as the “Radio Kansai Recommended Song” for November on Radio Kansai. It has also been chosen as the November ending theme for RSK Sanyo Broadcasting’s KYUN! MUSIC.

    [Comment from Natsuki Kawanishi]
“This song is perfect for the winter season, when “cold” and “loneliness” intersect and people miss human touch. This new song shares the emotions of the main character, who wavers between wanting to be strong and wanting to be taken care of. Even when her memories haunt her, she doesn’t say what she wants to say. I expressed my desire to hide that sadness and internal conflict by blaming it all on the season.”

  • The new program Okashi Mogumogu will begin airing on October 24 on CBC TV, and the members of CANDY TUNE will appear regularly as MCs.

The music variety show will highlight the lyrics of guest artists’ songs and delve deeply into them through conversation. CANDY TUNE members will also travel to various regions around the country to listen to the favorite lyrics of people they meet. In the first installment, Kotomi Tachibana and Nanako Ogawa will visit Takayama in Gifu.

[Comments from First Episode’s Starring Members]
    Mizuki Kirihara (Episode 1 MC)
“We had a guest artist on the program and heard their story behind the creation of their music and their interpretation of their lyrics. It was so fun to get a glimpse into the songwriter’s mind!”

    Rino Fukuyama (Episode 1 MC)
“After recording Episodes 1 and 2, I was surprised to see that each guest artist wrote lyrics from a completely different vector! As I began my talk as the MC, it was such a wonderful thing to experience the virtues of the artists and their lyrics.”

    Kotomi Tachibana (On Location)
“I’m often called the shyest member, so I was super nervous to just talk to people I’d never met before on the street in a new town. As I listened to the favorite lyrics of the people I met, I discovered that some were ones I knew, while others didn’t seem to fit with the person’s character. So many unique experiences!”

    Nanako Ogawa (On Location)
“No music, no life! I listen to a lot of music, so I really enjoyed this opportunity to shoot on location! As I listened to people’s favorite lyrics, I thought to myself “I wonder if they live each day with those lyrics in their heart,” and I got very emotional!”
