Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE releases opening theme song for anime “Dororo” – catch their limited acoustic live!

Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE performed “Kaen”, the opening theme song for anime “Dororo”. Now, there is an opportunity to catch them live! Last week, their new song ”Kaen” was released in advance on CD and was made available on music streaming services. As a limited-edition streaming service, you can access a special package of four songs in the “Kaen full edition” package, which can be reserved via iTunes.

  The band is celebrating the release of their standard-limited edition version with a commemoration “Acoustic Live”, to which fans can apply to attend. Customers who purchase this product can enter into a prize draw to attend the premium live by completing and sending the postcard which can be found inside the CD case.     QUEEN BEE just dropped the music video for their song P R I D E which is taken from their new record BL. The band dropped their new album BL last Wednesday, which charted at No. 3 on Oricon's daily charts and No. 5 on Billboard Japan's weekly album charts. The music video is built up on the two CD covers for the album, including the above-pictured illustrated one drawn by manga artist Harada which blew up on social media when it was released, and the exclusive version which features a different cover. QUEEN BEE - "P R I D E" Official MV
    MOre details have also been released for the band's upcoming two concerts at Makuhari Event Hall on April 4 and 5.Titled QUEEN BEE Solo Concert “Ten” −Introduction−, the first day (April 4) will be "BLACK" themed, while the second day (April 5) will be "BLUE" themed.   It is anticipated that the band will fuse together their last album TEN, which was released last year and which features in the name of the two concerts, and BL.

    QUEEN BEE released their industry-shaking album Ten in May last year, which shot to number one on iTunes in Japan and peaked at 4th place on Oricon's weekly charts. Their success didn't end there however, as tickets to all of their live shows in promotion of the record sold out.   It hasn't even been a year yet, and QUEEN BEE are set to release yet another new album, BL, on February 19. The album will be released in several different versions. There will be two limited pressing editions, lily and rose, each with their own design concept and each coming with a gorgeous 88 page visual book. There will also be regular edition copies with just the CD.   The limited pressing editions feature photos of the members wearing different makeup and outfits in line with the respective lily and rose themes. Both visual books will each also contain entirely different photos.   The CDs of all three versions will contain 8 brand new songs, and in line with each edition's different concepts, the track list will be in different orders too. Additionally, regular edition copies also contain instrumental versions of all 8 tracks. The album also includes QUEEN BEE's new song BL which features as the opening theme for the Japanese drama series Juu no Himitsu ("10 Secrets") starring Osamu Mukai. The title and lead track for the new album, BL will be released digitally at midnight in Japan tonight (January 28). Pre-orders for the full album are also now open on iTunes in Japan.   Tickets are now on sale for QUEEN BEE's two concerts entitled "Ten −Introduction−" taking place at Mahukari Event Hall on April 4 and 5.
  • amazarashi To Release Their First Original Full Album in 2 Years

     Japanese rock band amazarashi, which includes Aomori prefecture's Hiromu Akita as lead vocalist, is set to release their new album boycott on March 11, 2020, which will be their first original full album release in two years. They have also dropped a sneak preview of their artist photo.  amazarashi are pushing full steam ahead, constantly producing new and exciting content. Since the release ofChihou Toshi No Memento Mori in December 2017, amazarashi followed up with their first ever live performance at the Nippon Budokan under the concert title Rodoku Enso Jikken Kukan Shin Gengo Chitsujo, subsequently releasing the Dororo anime ending theme song Sayonara Gokko and the music video for their song Miraininarenakatta Anoyoruni, which worked up a sensation for featuring famous actor Ryusei Yokohama among other big names.  The upcoming album will come in three formats including two first press limited editions and one regular edition. Each format contains 14 songs. The two first press editions will also include original video contents, music videos, the live video of their performance that took place at the end of the year and a short story detailing the early years of Hiromu Akita in the form of a special booklet.     If you are a fan, keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
  • QUEEN BEE Release Music Video For Tokyo Ghoul S Main Theme ‘Introduction’

    QUEEN BEE just dropped their new music video for Introduction on YouTube.   The song is taken from their latest album Ju which hit shelves back in May. The song will feature as the main theme for the forthcoming film Tokyo Ghoul S, the sequel to the live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series Tokyo Ghoul.

  • Manga Dororo by Osamu Tezuka was made into an anime 50 years ago. This continual sensation is getting an official soundtrack which will be released on August 14. The CD will be titled TV Anime Dororo Music Collection Tamashi no Kodou. Hiroyuki Asada, who creates the original character design drafts, designed the illustration for the CD jacket, which has just been unveiled to the public. 

    First-Press Limited Edition Version

    The whimsical illustration shows Dororo and Hyakkimaru snuggling together, alone in a vast barren desert. The first-press limited edition soundtrack version comes in a luxurious tall-size DigiPak sleeve and consists of three CDs. The regular edition contains a two-disk dual case. 

    Regular Version

    The booklet will contain statements by illustrator Hiroyuki Asada and Yoshihiro Ike, who was in charge of the music. As a bonus, the CD jacket illustration has been adopted for use on an A2 poster, which will be sold at Animate stores countrywide. The design will also feature on clear files which will be sold on Amazon.   • Eve Releases Music Video For Dororo Ending Theme ‘Yamiyo’

    The music video for Eve's latest song Yamiyo was just released on YouTube, co-created by Mah and Waboku who have worked with Eve before.  
      Yamiyo is the second ending theme for the TV anime series Dororo. The word yamiyo means "dark night" and like the title of the song, the music video too is plunged into a dark world. A special website for the video was also launched alongside its release.   Yamiyo was also released digitally today  on major music services including iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music. A campaign is running for 100 lucky people to be randomly selected to receive a CD packaged version of the single when they purchase it on iTunes or Apple Music.
