RobiHachi is an upcoming original TV anime series directed by Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Grand Blue) set to air in spring 2019.
A new key visual has been released showcasing the show’s main characters―the protagonist Robby Yaji, Hacchi Kita, HPS-19, Yan, Aro and Gra―all stood in the anime’s setting of Neo Tokyo. The anime’s official homepage has also undergone renovation.
A live stream took place on February 7 on YouTube LIVE and LINE LIVE featuring members of the voice cast: Keisuke Kōmoto (Hatchi Kita), Subaru Kimura (Alo) and Shinnosuke Tokudome (Gra).
The members looked back over the RobiHachi talk held back in November 2018 which saw appearances from the full cast and gave their thoughts on the upcoming series. They also took live questions from viewers.
A second line stream is set to take place sometime in March.
Animator of multiple anime Shinji Takamatsu directed the new original anime “RobiHachi” which will be broadcasted from Friday 8th April 2019 on AbemaTV, AT-X, BS11, TOKYO MX and MBS. For details of broadcasting times, please check the broadcasting stations’ official websites.
Before the broadcasting of “RobiHachi” starts in April, a viewing of episode 1 and 2 of RobiHachi plus a cast talk show will be held from 19:00 ー 20:30 on Friday 29th March at Shinjuku Wald 9. The wonderful voice actors from the anime including Kazuya Nakai, Keisuke Kōmoto, Daisuke Sakaguchi and Shinosuke Tokudome will be taking part! Advanced tickets to this viewing/talk show event will be selling from 22:00 on Thursday 7th March so get your hands on them as fast as you can!
In addition, the opening and ending theme song for “RobiHachi” will be released in the form of two separate singles on Wednesday 24th April. The opening theme song “Tensai no Playlist” Hachi feat. Robby is performed by Kazuya Nakai and Keisuke Kōmoto, and the ending theme song “Dancing to Night 〜 Kimi e no saitan warp kōro〜” Allo & Gras feat.Yang is performed bySubaru Kimura, Shinosuke Tokudome and Tomokazu Sugita. Each of the main members of the cast have lines or their catchphrases in the theme songs. The music video for the opening theme “Tensai no Playlist” has been released. This song is a fast-paced rock song which is filled with colour. Hachi sings the vocals and Robi adds in stylish interludes. In contrast, the ending theme song has a slightly discotech melody and is performed by Aro and Gura singing the main vocals. Throughout the song, you can enjoy fun snippets of dialogue with Yan! Opening theme song “Tensai no Playlist” teaser
There is also a commemoration event where you can receive the opening and ending theme song singles directly from the voice actors themselves! You can purchase a set containing both singles together at “Canime” or “Animate”, who invite you to get your hands on these singles in advance! On Sunday 28th April and Sunday 5th May, Keisuke Kōmoto , Subaru Kimura and Shinosuke Tokudome will be the three voice actors who will present the singles to fans. In addition, anime event “Anime Japan 2019” will be taking place from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th March 2019, ! On the Pony Canyon stage, Kazuya Nakai and Keisuke Kōmoto will be performing for RobiHachi! They will be performing on Saturday 23rd March from 11:20 ー 11:50. Tickets to enter the priority viewing area will be distributed in advance on the day of the performance by Pony Canyon Booth.

RobiHachi is an upcoming original TV anime series directed by Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Grand Blue) set to be released in spring 2019. Before that however, a special live broadcast for the series titled RobiHachiNama! is set to begin airing.
The first episode will stream on YouTube Live and LINE LIVE on February 7, 2019 at 22:00 (JST). It will include appearances from the voice cast: Keisuke Kōmoto (Hatchi Kita), Subaru Kimura (Alo) and Shinnosuke Tokudome (Gra).
They will look back over the RobiHachi talk held back in November 2018 which saw appearances from the full cast, as well as give their thoughts on the upcoming series. They will also be taking questions live during the broadcast so people can post in their thoughts and opinions about the show, what they want to see the cast in next and so on.

The series will be set in G.C.0051 (G.C. = Galaxy Century). Our protagonists Robii, a citizen of Neo Tokyo, and the young man Hacchi take set out on a comical trip in their spaceship on the galactic highway to seek out the legendary star Isekandaru.
A teaser trailer for the series was also released, showcasing Neo Tokyo and what awaits our protagonist.
