Now we’ve plunged right into spring, the weather is perfect for soft serve ice cream! A limited edition pop up shop called “CREMIA” selling ice cream to fit that perky spring feeling has just opened in Omotesando!
This may be slightly more expensive than other soft serve ice cream places but it is popular because it is so tasty. Some of you reading this are probably already familiar with CREMIA. This pop up shop sells an upgraded version of their delicious ice cream which is even more luxurious! CREMIA is already a rich-flavoured ice cream and I was wondering just how you could possibly make it even tastier so I dashed over there to uncover the mystery!
I escaped Harajuku, which is full of people during this season, and headed for Omotesando which is relaxing and peaceful. It’s a nice idea to enjoy the nice weather and eat your ice cream while taking a stroll but CREMIA melts particularly fast so I recommend enjoying it on the second floor.
CREMIA the rich ¥1000 (price including tax)
This is the legendary ultimate “CREMIA the rich”… and it’s ￥1000! It’s quite expensive for a soft serve ice cream so I was a bit on edge!
….Aaaaahhhhh!!!!
It was just like the ice cream you can get on a farm! It was very smooth and rich but not sickening and it wasn’t too sweet either. I was sat on the chair enjoying my ice cream and it was perfect.

CREMIA the rich Matcha ￥1000 (price including tax)
CREMIA the rich Matcha is the most luxurious matcha ice cream! It is popular among adults. This is a rich ice cream but with just one lick the matcha flavour drifts and spreads through your mouth. This is the longest lingering matcha-flavoured ice cream I have ever eaten!
CREMIA the Custard ￥540 (price including tax)
CREMIA the Custard is custard flavoured (as implied by the name). If you look closely at the cone, you’ll notice it’s pink ー how cute! This is a raspberry cone. You can only taste the raspberry flavour of this luxury cone just enough to recognise that it’s raspberry -flavoured. This is very appropriate for spring and is goes perfectly with the custard soft cream.
CREMIA the Caramel ￥540 (price including tax)
CREMIA the Caramel is a caramel soft serve ice cream. It is sweet yet slightly bitter which is a very adult-like flavour. The saltiness of the hidden rock salt makes for a sophisticated flavour. This is a very stylish ice cream!
This is the most luxurious CREMIA ice cream and for that reason it may be a bit expensive, but you will definitely be satisfied. This is a great way to reward yourself for accomplishing something, or perhaps you could go for a special date there with somebody? Of course, you can also eat it on an average day….or to add some luxury to your average day ー it’s just the best!

The second Tabekko Doubutsu Cafe Stand event opened in Omotesando on November 1, 2022. Paying homage to the classic snack first released in 1978, the cafe features a number of tasty snacks inspired by the thin animal-shaped cookies popular around the world. This second event will run through January 9, 2023. Reservations are required, and many dates were completely sold out prior to the event’s start date, particularly on weekends. We decided to visit, anxious to see what the fuss is all about.
We were first shocked to see the popular animals enjoying oden! Original goods featuring the characters enjoying the quintessential Japanese winter dish are only available at the cafe. From acrylic keychains to figures, visitors can snag some adorable merchandise to commemorate their trip to the exclusive event. Why not snag some items that would be useful on a daily basis, like a notebook or an apron? For food, visitors can snag a special Oden Set and Chinese Dumplings, both perfect for the winter. The oden features popular ingredients like egg, daikon, fish cake, and mochikinchaku, each branded with the popular animal characters. Drinks include soy milk, green tea milk, and milk tea. In addition to the exclusive Lion Cake which is limited to 25 servings a day, guests can find chocolate bananas and other sweets on the menu, including a Sweets Set limited to those reserving special seats at the venue. For every ¥1,000 spent on food and drink items, customers will receive one Tabekko Doubutsu trading card! The exhibition space is a must-see for fans of this legendary snack, filled with rare works including an adorable and very colorful print of every animal holding a bowl of oden. Of course, a photo spot has been set up for visitors to take some prime shots for social media! Don’t miss the animal meet and greet, which is making its triumphant return from the last event! Starting October 10, the popular ice cream sandwich Biscuit Sandwich will begin a collaboration with the popular anime and manga series Spy x Family. The second season began on October 1. The collaboration will introduce limited-edition packaging in three styles featuring close-ups of the three main characters–Loid, Yor, and Anya. Two of the designs were newly drawn for this collaboration.
While the main characters are featured on the front, the back shows Franky, Becky, and Henry Henderson. Customers will also want to search for a hidden Anya somewhere on the packaging. Along with this special packaging, three different campaigns will be underway featuring an original QUO card, a USB featuring original voice recordings, and a cooler bag shaped like the penguin that appears in the series. For those snagging the USB, you’ll be able to hear Anya begging for ice cream and some other cute lines. This USB will be delivered in a case made to look like an ice cream sandwich, and fans won’t want to miss out on their chance to add it to their collection! Information

The Strings Omotesando will hold the Violet Masquerade sweets buffet at GRAMERCY HOUSE, a banquet venue on the second floor, on select dates from September 7 until October 27, 2022. Guests can enjoy a selection of desserts featuring chestnuts, grapes, and other autumn treats in calming violet space. Why not come enjoy the feel of a masquerade while eating your fill of sugary delights?
The event will feature jewel-like tarts lavishly decorated with figs and grapes, strawberry cheesecake inspired by a courtly flower garden, and lemon mousse shaped like a fanciful headdress. The buffet itself will be decorated with masks and glittering ornaments. The buffet will also include lunch with a lineup of savory dishes such as spiced grilled chicken, black curry made with charcoal, and purple sweet potato potage.
