17-year-old singer-songwriter Miyuna released her hit track Kan Biiru (Canned Beer) last year which has garnered over 1.5 million views on YouTube. Right now, during the lockdown, Miyuna has been posting a series of videos entitled “Miyuna’s Bedroom” in which she takes comments posted by fans as the basis for lyrics and shows herself making songs from them.

 

Her album Yurareru dropped last year and charted in at number one on the Chinese music streaming service Netease Cloud Music in the J-pop album category. She was also chosen to as a member of Gibson Generation Group (G3), a program run by musical instrument makers Gibson which endorses its members.

 

The gap between Miyuna’s musical creativity and her age has built her up a fan base of people both inside and outside Japan. Her music isn’t tied to one genre: it ranges from encouraging messages to the youth to funk, R&B, and beyond.

Her new song, Soleil, was released today, and will be the final song she releases as a 17-year-old. She posted the following comment on the song’s lyric music video.

When I return to my beloved hometown, I feel so much at ease, and it gives me that push to work hard again.

That’s what Miyazaki [Prefecture] is to me.

I ask all of you to think back upon your own home towns or your favourite place. I’m sure it will make you feel warm at the chest.

The song serves as the main theme for the Japanese television drama series Himawari: Miyazaki Legend which will air today and is set in the birth place of Miyuna, Miyazaki Prefecture.

Miyuna has also announced that she will hold a live stream on June 7, 2020 at 20:00 (JST) which is the day of her 18th birthday.

Since dropping their debut track Best Part Of Us feat. Michael Kaneko in March 2017ーwhich has over 33 million plays on Spotifyーmasked music duo have garnered fans in worldwide. And it’s now been revealed that they will perform the opening theme song for the upcoming second season of the TV anime series Fruits Basket.

 

The song is entitled Prism and features Miyuna on vocals. Miyuna is a 17-year-old Japanese singer who gained fans across Japan last year for her incredible singing talent. This will also be AmPm’s first song sung entirely in Japanese. The track will be released on April 8, 2020.

Fruits Basket was serialised in Hana to Yume, published by Hakusensha, from 1998 to 2006. The entire 23-volume series has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The original 26-episode anime adaptation by Studio Deen ran in 2001 from July to December. A new series with new cast and staff began aired from April to September last year. Its long-awaited second season will return next month on April 6. The season two ending theme ad meliora will be performed by THE CHARM PARK.

UNIQLO’s graphic t-shirt brand UT are celebrating the 60th anniversary of manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump with a new t-shirt collection via their sub brand MANGA UT. The t-shirts will go on sale from August 12.

 

The collection covers six anime series serialised in the popular magazine including Hajime no Ippo, Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, Attack on Titan, Negima! Magister Negi Magi, and Shōta no Sushi. Each t-shirt pays homage to its respective series, featuring iconic scenes that have stayed with fans, sound effects, and original designs that capture their worlds.

Hajime no Ippo

Hajime no Ippo is a boxing manga written and illustrated by George Morikawa. It follows Ippo Makunouchi, a shy high school student who suffers at the hands of bullies. He begins a career in boxing in search of the answer to the question “What is strength?” and battles his rivals and those around him to grow as an individual. Fairy Tail is a fantasy adventure manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It follows the dragon slaying wizard Natsu and his tale of growth as part of the Fairy Tail guild. The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins is a fantasy battle adventure series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It follows the titular characters each of whom represent the seven deadly sins. There are several t-shirt designs including one featuring Meliodas looking up to the sky and another of him and his comrades out on a peaceful trip. There is even a hand drawn illustration of Hawk, a talking pig and Meliodas’s pet, which was illustrated by Suzuki himself and UT’s editors.

Attack on Titan is an dark fantasy adventure series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story is set in a world where humanity lives within giant walls which help protect them from towering man-eating Titans. The terrifying t-shirt design features one of the Titans that live inside the walls.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi

Negima! Magister Negi Magi is an fantasy adventure and harem series written and illustrated by Ken Akamatsu. It follows the story of Negi, a wizard who becomes an English teacher at Mahora Academy, where he helps his class of students overcome their problems. He is also in search of his father who is known as a hero in the world of wizardry. There are two t-shirts, one featuring the main heroine Asuna Kagurazaka, and another of some of the other students in the class.

Shōta no Sushi

Shōta no Sushi is a food manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Terasawa which follows the story of Sekiguchi Shota who works as an apprentice and aims to become a sushi chef. There are two t-shirt designs, one which features the manga’s logo and a slice of sushi and the other with the logo and a whole sushi platter.

Six-member pop-rock idol girl group Osaka Shunkashuto will perform the third opening theme for the final season of the TV anime series Fairy Tail set to begin airing in April.

Fairy Tail is a hugely successful manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima that has sold over 60 million copies. The anime adaptation’s new opening theme is entitled NO-LIMIT.

Talking about the new song, group member MAINA commented the following: ‘”I’m All Fired Up!” These words are indispensable Fairy Tail. When it was decided that we would perform the new opening theme, I was overjoyed and spoke those fired-up words myself! We all worked on the energy of the lyrics and melody together and have been able to pack those passionate feelings into this song! I’m all fired up! Be sure to give it a listen♪’

amazarashi x Dororo

amazarashi’s new song Sayonara Gokko will be used as the ending theme for the upcoming anime series Dororo which is set to begin airing on January 7.

 

Dororo is a manga series by Osamu Tezuka about a rōnin named Hyakkimaru whose father bartered away 48 of his body parts to 48 demons so he could obtain the power to rule the country. The story follows Hyakkimaru who now has fake body parts as he tries to defeat the 48 demons to retrieve his real parts. On the way he meets a young thief called Dororo.

The song is titled forget-me-not and will be released as the singer’s second single on February 6. This marks ReoNa’s first theme song for the series. It is described as a fast-paced melancholic track which has a nostalgic sound and lyrics that encompass both ReoNA’s artistry and the world of Alicization.

I watch the anime with my older sister and younger brother, so getting to hear our song play at the end is like a dream. I’m so happy! The song directly overlaps with the main character in marching forward. I would be happy if people enjoy the song along with the anime series.

I’m not up to date with things like anime, but even so I am very used to hearing about Fairy Tail, so I was seriously shocked to hear we would be doing the ending theme. I’m so glad!! I believe our song “Piasu” will be the key to EMPiRE [becoming successful]. It feels supportive, like even if you can’t do something yourself you can if you have everyone. Or “don’t be scared, just go!” That’s the kind of thing we’re singing about. In getting to perform the ending theme it would be nice to connect with the people who love Fairy Tail.

Even now I can’t believe you can hear an EMPiRE song in this famous anime. I am overjoyed. The lyrics talk strongly about bonds and friendship. I hope together with this wonderful series they get through to people’s hearts.

 

Piasu will be released on Febuary 27, 2019 but will hit the air in Fairy Tail on January 13.

Eggs is a popular Japanese digital music website for indie bands where talented musicians set on music as a career gather. Miyuna is a female high school student and singer from Miyazaki Prefecture who has a page on the website, and it’s there that she released a demo song with just her and an acoustic guitar which shot up to No. 1.

 

The singer was chosen to perform the opening and ending themes to season two of Black Clover which began on October 2.

Miyuna is 16-years-old and has only just entered her first year of high school. She began taking her music career seriously this summer, performing at clubs in her hometown of Miyazaki as well as Fukuoka and even as far as Tokyo. It’s just short of 8 months since she began making music with her guitar.

 

By uploading the demo to Eggs during her early career and communicating in real time with music fans on social media she was able to complete the song. Listeners have shown support for this method of music distribution that turns the regular industry on its head – that a song that hasn’t even been completed yet reached number one on both the weekly music and artist rankings.

When Miyuna began performing live in the early summer her overwhelming voice caught the attention of those involved in music immediately. It didn’t take long for word on her to spread.

 

The 16-year-old has now become a big player in the industry with her involvement with Black Clover.

The opening theme song Reckless is now available on most major music streaming websites. It’s a fast-paced number that expresses purely the troubles and impulses of a 16-year-old.

 

Miyuna said the following about her involvement with the series:

“Thank  you so much for letting me be responsible for the theme songs – it’s a big task. The protagonists Asta and Yuno leave their small village and embark to the big city to work hard and fulfil their big dream to become the Wizard King. I left Miyazaki Prefecture and am also working hard to fulfil my dream of becoming a singer. The two of them advance toward their dream without being crushed no matter what happens. Seeing that gives me great dreams and aspirations too. And the characters in Black Clover each have their own deep stories.  Their worries and dark sides overlap with me too, and I also get courage seeing them overcome boundaries together with their comrades. I offer these important songs that tells those stories to everyone’s hearts with everything I have!”

 

The fact that the songs overlap Miyuna’s own circumstances with Black Clover’s story means that the lyrics and melody have an energy and power that only she can express. They are a fitting addition to the anime which is entering its second year.

 

The ending theme is titled Heaven and Earth and Black Clover is the first place it was heard completed and in full.
