Wednesday 22nd May 2019 will mark seven years since Tokyo Skytree Town® was established. To celebrate, Skytree Town will hold a commemoration event and sell goods themed around the number “7”, rainbows and the seven prismatic colours.

As part of the 7-year commemoration event, Tokyo Solamachi will be running an event of gratitude called Kanshasai. From Tuesday 7th May, every shop in Tokyo Solamachi will be selling limited edition commemoration goods. From Wednesday 22nd May, Solamachi will be handing out “happy bags” which come with a shopping ticket scratch card. You should also try out the commemoration “happy menu”!

The characters of Sumikko Gurashi are celebrating an incredible decade! A 10th-anniversary cafe will open in Tokyo on July 1 and in Osaka on July 22 for a limited time. Sumikko Gurashi characters have become popular with children and adults alike. Anyone who enjoys cute goods has likely been aware of these little critters as they’ve continued to become a global phenomenon. In November 2021, the second Sumikko Gurashi film premiered to celebrate the franchise’s 10th anniversary, pulling in over a million viewers.

Konica Minolta Planetarium TENKU will hold a special two-day live event featuring one of the most beloved singers of this generation, yama. LIVE in the DARK w/yama will take place on December 8 and 9, in which the artist will be surrounded by glittering stars as he sings some of his more popular tracks.

When guests step out of the elevator 450 meters above the ground, several members of the Demon Slayers Corps will be assembled to meet them at a photo spot. Ribbons the color of wisteria flowers will be available for visitors to write their wishes on, and they can be tied up to create a beautiful tree of prayers and hopes. Original merchandise, food, and photo spots will be available exclusively at Tokyo Skytree during the event. Every inch of Skytree’s observation floor is decorated with Demon Slayer art. The inclining spiral section is covered with images of popular lines from the series written in calligraphy, and Skytree Round Theater will display a special animated sequence.
