09.June.2019 | FOOD

Taiwanese café Chun Shui Tang is juicing up summer by releasing summer-limited drinks from Monday 10th June 2019. This includes Mango Milk Bubble Tea, which is a favourite year after year. There is also a new drink on the menu: the Fig and Mango Jasmine Tea.

A summery food menu will also be released on the same day menu featuring two cold noodle dishes with summer toppings. One is served with a soy milk cheese sauce and a soft-boiled egg, and the other comes with summer vegetables and shirasu (small baby sardines). All these summer foods and drinks will only be available in Japan for a limited period only!

Left: Mango Milk Bubble Tea ¥650 (+ tax)       Right:    Fig Mango Jasmine ¥550 (+tax)

These drinks are overflowing with juicy mango and are out again this year, however they are only available at Chun Shui Tang in Japan and for a limited period. The Mango Milk Bubble Tea has a mild touch of sourness and a luxurious amount of rich mango. This is blended with aromatic Jasmine tea and topped generously with cream and mango sauce. This is one refreshing drink.

The Fig Jasmine Tea is a variation of the popular mango drink. Enjoy the refreshing flavour of jasmine tea and mild-flavoured mango combined with the fun texture of the Jasmine tea and Fig jelly. With a touch of freshly-squeezed lemon to make it even more refreshing, this drink will breathe the life back into you on a hot summer’s day.

This summer, Japan’s Chun Shui Tang is introducing two of Taiwan’s popular local dishes but with an original twist. The liang miàn (cold noodle) dishes are made with an original blend of spices and sauces and served with a generous serving of vegetables. Enjoy mixing you cold noodles with the delicious toppings!

Come enjoy this summer menu which is limited to Chui Shui Tang cafés in Japan.

Left: Soy Milk & Cheese Sauce Cold Noodles with a Soft-Boiled Egg: ¥850 (+tax)

Right: Summer Vegetable Cold Noodles with Summer Vegetables & Baby Sardines: ¥800 + (tax)

In the left image of the soy milk and cheese sauce noodles, the cheese adds a beautiful accent to the mild soy milk in the sauce. The somewhat salty miso-marinated meat and soft-boiled egg also accent the flavour, allowing you to enjoy the changing flavour as you mix your meal. The meal is topped with plenty of tomatoes and white radish sprouts. What a hearty meal!

The summer vegetables and shirasu cold noodles are served in a lightly seasoned chicken soup broth that is full of flavour. Colourful summer vegetables such as tomatoes, lady’s fingers and white radish sprouts are generously piled on top of the noodles. Enjoy the feeling of eating a refreshing salad. A dash of lemon is added to the shirasu sardines just before serving so you can enjoy the refreshing and salty taste which is perfect to satisfy your hunger during the hot days.

Liang miàn is a very popular local dish in Taiwan. Just by walking the streets, you will notice a countless number of restaurants and food stalls selling liang miàn. You can easily make an order and then choose your favourite toppings such as marinated or salted ground meats, chicken, and vegetables such as cucumber. Mix all the ingrediets together and enjoy your meal. Afterwards, you will feel very refreshed. As Taiwan is particularly hot, these cold noodles are very effective at bringing back your appetite on a hot day.

Come enjoy Taiwanese local food and bubble tea!
