There are currently over 400,000 videos on TikTok with the hashtag #travel and with a combined view count exceeding 1.7 billion. Clips include people trying out street food from around the world, experiencing new cultures―the list goes on.

Various global tourism brands are also jumping aboard this campaign as a way to promote travel and tourism in their respective countries.

#ThisisJapan is another of the travel hashtags to inspire travellers from around the world to capture their time in Japan.

The campaign also includes an in-app challenge using the theme song Summer made in TikTok Spotlight, a feature made to support artists and musicians around the world. Users can also utilise a feature called “MV Mode” which lets users create a video using only photos.

If you participate in the #TikTokTravel hashtag by June 13 you will be entered for a chance to win a GoPro. Get involved today!
