The anime adaptation of Izumi Itō’s 4-panel manga series Machikado Mazoku about a demon girl who befriends a magical girl is set to begin airing on July 11, 2019. Both the opening and ending themes for the series have been revealed.
The opening theme Machikado Tangent is performed by shami momo, a music unit comprising of the series’ main characters Yuko Yoshida (voiced by Konomi Kohara) and Momo Chiyoda (Akari Kitō). The song was written, composed and arranged by Japanese singer-songwriter Miho Tsujibayashi. It’s described as a light and uplifting track with a hint of sadness.
The ending theme Yoimachi Canter is performed by Koro Machikado, another music unit comprised of Yuko Yoshida (Konomi Kohara), Momo Chiyoda (Akari Kitō), Lilith (Minami Takahashi), and Mikan Hanatsuki (Tomoyo Takanagi). It was written and composed by Kōichi Fujimoto who is known for their music work on other anime series such as Kill Me Baby and Tamako Market.
Both tracks will be released on CD on August 7.
