Hi, everyone.
So, sukajan have continued to grow in popularity since the year before last year and have become standard nowadays. (sukajan = satin and embroidered baseball/college jacket)
I feel they are becoming a thing overseas too.
(While working in the MOSHI MOSHI BOX in Harajuku I’ve been asked numerous times by some fashionable foreigners if there are any shops around selling them)
Since they have become standard to wear, don’t you finally want to hear how to go about wearing them?
What’s that? You don’t? Is that so.
When I got my hands on a sukajan for the first time the year before last, I wondered “What would go with this?” I really did wonder!
Anyway (my introduction ended up being a bit long), this is for those of you who are worrying about how to dress well! For those of you who are challenging themselves to wearing at sukajan for the first time! I’m going to showcase a number of fashionable sukajan styles!!!!!
*Bittersweet Sukajan Co-ord
http://wear.jp/yuuuk0o/8416257/
Here we have a sukajan together with a camisole – which appear in spring and summer – as well as a frilly pink bag and a jouetie long babydoll gown, making this a really cute look. This is truly a mix of bitter and sweet! A black sukajan is really versatile so it might be good for those of you who have a wardrobe full of different clothes!
*Rough Sukajan Co-ord

The side-split sweatpants and Adidas sneakers give this a rough kind of style. And add to that the sukajan and clutch bag and you really get a rough style! It feels like a grown-up co-ordinate! The balance between the sukajan and everything else is on point.
*A breaking ball! Embroidered sukajan souvenir jacket
http://wear.jp/wear10094/8426445/
This is a hand-knitted souvenir jacket with a tiger and the Japanese Kanji character “福” (“fuku” = good fortune) embroidered on it. This sukajan also has a different kind of feel to it, it’s really nice. It would go with something tomboyish or something more natural
*Sukajan + wide pants!
http://wear.jp/sakullax/8277142/
“Furifu” is a kimono shop that sells cute retro and modern kimono, and they are stocking this sukajan too. The embroidered pink and the belt make this look really nice, not to mention the wide pants which go perfectly with the sukajan! ?
*Pop Sukajan Co-ord
This co-ord has a colour like cotton candy! It’s very Harajuku-style. The pop coloured sukajan ventures to make this entire outfit pop-like, it all goes very well together!
*Western x Sukajan
http://wear.jp/culuminakada/6954462/
This is a co-ord by Nakata Kurumi donning a sukajan and big hat. I don’t think this has been done before!
It was written that this outfit is “a genreless co-ord using a sukajan, it’s an outfit of today”. That’s for sure! And the style of the jeans is cute too!
*Extras: Sukajan style bag and more!
Sukajan style bags have also been appearing recently haven’t they!

Whatever the outfit, I’m convinced that a sukajan can be cute.
So, what did you think?
As it turned out, I came to realise that you can wear a sukajan with practically anything these days. (lol)
In other words, they are versatile.
For those of you who like fashion, it might be a good idea to own at least one of them?
This is a bit of a digression, but there are ways to wear them short if you buy kids sizes or small sizes too! The possibilities are endless.
There are plenty of second hand clothes shops stocking sukajans, so please try finding one to your liking!
We can point you in any direction wherever you need to go in Harajuku at the MOSHI MOSHI BOX Tourist Information Center, so if you’re looking for a second hand clothes shop please stop by! We’ll be waiting for you?
See you.
