From July 1 to August 31, ABC Cooking Studios across Japan will be running a one-day class for children to learn how to make a Pikachu omelette. The class is aimed at 4 ー 6 year-olds. After the class, the children can enjoy their fluffy Pikachu omelette.
Pikachu Omelette
Last July and August, ABC held a similar one-day Pikachu Banana Cake class for children. Approximately 20,000 children signed up and enjoyed making their delicious cakes. This year’s event is a wonderful opportunity for children who wish to challenge themselves to cooking or are looking to make wonderful summer memories. This is a wonderful opportunity to grant your curious children.
The cooking teacher will show children all the cooking tricks to make a delicious dessert in very easy steps. Even children who are completely new to cooking will have nothing to worry about. In the class, children will learn how to make an omelette decorated with Pikachu’s face and a chocolate custard filling. Once finished, they can garnish their Pikachu with a sun visor. The children will also be making a Poké Ball cupcake. Once they make their desserts, they can take them home. To finish the class, the hardworking children will be gathered to have a fun discussion on their opinions on the class.
The children will also receive an original Pikachu and Eevee drawstring bag as a souvenir. This class is a great way for children to become better friends. After the class is over, they can even wear their bags together as a sign of everlasting friendship.

Toy maker Takara Tomy has released a Pikachu robot that can recognise words. The Ne, UchiPika will be released in Japan on August 3, 2019 at toy shops, electronics stores, toy sections of department stores and emporiums, online and on Takara Tomy's official website.
Ne, UchiPika can understand words in Japanese and connect to your TV and lights. He uses infrared light to connect to devices just how a standard remote control does. Therefore, there is no need to buy any special equipment or even connect him to the internet. You can simply add the functions from your TV remote to get going! Just call Pikachu's name and he will listen to your command. "Pikachu! I wanna watch TV!" "Can you turn on the lights?" There's so much you can ask Pikachu to help you with. Pikachu will help you to turn your TV on and off, change the volume and change the channel. At night, he can turn your night light on and off, too so you don't have to get out of bed. You can even add whatever features you like from your remote control to Pikachu. Pikachu knows the phrases "see you later" (ittekimasu) and "I'm home" (itterasshai) in Japanese and will even sing if you ask him to. The most shocking feature, however, is his thunderbolt move which you just have to ask him to perform! Pikachu's actions are not just limited to working household appliances. From the moment you greet each other with "good morning" (ohayou) to when you say "goodnight" (oyasumi), Pikachu will react to everything you say to him. A similar Pikachu called Ne, HelloPika was launched last year and became incredibly popular. Approximately 10,000 of these were sold. This time round, the Ne, HelloPika gets a new friend. A new official Pokémon Centre DX and a new Pokémon Café will open in Osaka on September 20, 2019 in Daimaru Shinsaibashi's Main Building. This will be the second Pokémon Centre to open in Osaka. The Pokémon café will adjoined to the shop and will be the first ever branch of the Pokémon café to have ever opened in West Japan. This is also the second permanent Pokémon café to open in Japan besides the Pokémon café in Nihombashi.

The Pikachu Outbreak Festival has been held in Yokohama for five years in a row. The event sees groups of Pikachu come together to march the streets.
The event is set to return for its sixth run in summer, with the main programmes set to be held at nighttime. Lighting technology will be used with the Pikachu army against the backdrop of Minato Mirai's gorgeous nightscape. More than 2,000 Pikachu are being mobilised, the biggest number in the event's history. In front of Yokohama Art Museum, the Pikachu will don LED lights on t heir costumes and hold up LED flags as they perform for the public. The Pikachu will also dance around giant water fountains in front of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse's park with a panoramic view of Yokohama Bay Bridge in the background. The Eevee army will also join the fray again this year. The Kansai Television drama Zenra Meshi, starring Yutaro, is getting an official photobook release on June 23, 2023 titled Zenra Meshi Official Photobook -Our Recipes Start Here-. The unusual romantic comedy follows an elite businessman hiding an incredible secret–he loves to eat naked to relieve his stress. One day, this habit is revealed, and Ichijo finds himself quickly falling in love. The official photobook will include over 30 pages of gravure photos of Yutaro (Miki Mahiro) and Shori Kondo (Futa Ichijo). Japan Post Service has teamed up with Pokémon to set up three postboxes with Pikachu, Eevee, and Piplup designs in Yokohama. They first opened on July 7, 2021 and will be available until June 30, 2022. Yokohama is no stranger to Pokémon as it is the city that hosts the annual Pikachu Outbreak event, one which is set to return this year from August 7-13. It is also one of the cities taking part in the Poké Lid project to place Pokémon manhole covers across Japan.
