Attack on Titan, Seven Deadly Sins, Fairy Tail & Other Anime T-Shirts Releasing at UNIQLO

UNIQLO’s graphic t-shirt brand UT are celebrating the 60th anniversary of manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump with a new t-shirt collection via their sub brand MANGA UT. The t-shirts will go on sale from August 12.

 

The collection covers six anime series serialised in the popular magazine including Hajime no IppoFairy TailThe Seven Deadly SinsAttack on TitanNegima! Magister Negi Magi, and Shōta no Sushi. Each t-shirt pays homage to its respective series, featuring iconic scenes that have stayed with fans, sound effects, and original designs that capture their worlds.

Hajime no Ippo

Hajime no Ippo is a boxing manga written and illustrated by George Morikawa. It follows Ippo Makunouchi, a shy high school student who suffers at the hands of bullies. He begins a career in boxing in search of the answer to the question “What is strength?” and battles his rivals and those around him to grow as an individual. The t-shirt design captures the lively energy seen in the characters and is surrounded by eye-catching SFX.

Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail is a fantasy adventure manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It follows the dragon slaying wizard Natsu and his tale of growth as part of the Fairy Tail guild. One of the t-shirts features four characters from the guild and the other is a large illustration of Acnologia, the main characters’ strongest enemy.

The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins is a fantasy battle adventure series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It follows the titular characters each of whom represent the seven deadly sins. There are several t-shirt designs including one featuring Meliodas looking up to the sky and another of him and his comrades out on a peaceful trip. There is even a hand drawn illustration of Hawk, a talking pig and Meliodas’s pet, which was illustrated by Suzuki himself and UT’s editors.

Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan is an dark fantasy adventure series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story is set in a world where humanity lives within giant walls which help protect them from towering man-eating Titans. The terrifying t-shirt design features one of the Titans that live inside the walls.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi

Negima! Magister Negi Magi is an fantasy adventure and harem series written and illustrated by Ken Akamatsu. It follows the story of Negi, a wizard who becomes an English teacher at Mahora Academy, where he helps his class of students overcome their problems. He is also in search of his father who is known as a hero in the world of wizardry. There are two t-shirts, one featuring the main heroine Asuna Kagurazaka, and another of some of the other students in the class.

Shōta no Sushi

Shōta no Sushi is a food manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Terasawa which follows the story of Sekiguchi Shota who works as an apprentice and aims to become a sushi chef. There are two t-shirt designs, one which features the manga’s logo and a slice of sushi and the other with the logo and a whole sushi platter.

  • Attack on Titan The Final Season – Season 3, Part 2 Finally Announced for Fall 2023

    The second half of Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 will debut this fall!   The first half recently aired in a one-hour special, and the new announcement was made following its conclusion.   • Popular Manga Series ‘Under Ninja’ Gets Anime Adaptation from Tezuka Productions in October 2023

    On February 22, known as Ninja Day in Japan, a teaser visual and website for the anime adaptation of the manga series Under Ninjawere unveiled. The series will premiere on TBS and other networks in October 2023.

     

    Under Ninja is written and illustrated by Kengo Hanazawa, known for his series I Am a Hero and Boys on the Run. The manga series is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine and tells the story of a secret society of ninjas. While the underground warriors were thought to have disappeared after WWII, Kuro Kumogakure is one of them, though he’s also a NEET.

     

    A TV anime adaptation has been announced for 2023, a teaser trailer has been released, and a new teaser visual and teaser website have also been unveiled.

    The new visual released on February 22 depicts the main character Kuro lurking in the shadows. The staff lineup has also been revealed, with the series being directed by Satoshi Kuwabara with character designs by Nobuteru Yuki.

  • Anime RPG Princess Connect! Re:Dive Gets 31st Character Song CD

    The 31st Character Song CD from Cygames’ popular smartphone anime RPG Princess Connect! Re:Dive was released on January 25, 2023.

     

    This new release includes the song Knight’s Soul sung by Matsuri (Asami Shimoda) and Christina (Chiaki Takahashi), as well as Hatsuyuki Twin Approach by Yori (Sayuri Hara) and Akari (Azumi Asakura). Original karaoke and solo remixes of each song are also included.

     

    These tracks were used as the ending themes for the limited-time Tribal Spirits: Raising Sword and Pride Bridge event, which began last October, and the Happy Happening Happy Twin Angels and Christmas Eve Gift event, which began last November.

    The songs are also available to stream on all major music streaming services!

    In addition, a music campaign will begin on February 14 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Princess Connect! Exclusive A3-size posters (2 varieties) will be given to those who purchase the new CD at participating stores while supplies last.

  • TRIGUN STAMPEDE Opening and Ending Themes Available on One Album

    An album featuring both the opening and ending themes of the anime series TRIGUN STAMPEDE will be released on a single album on February 22, 2023 from TOY’S STORE. The opening, TOMBI, is performed by Kvi Baba, while the ending, Hoshi no Kuzu α, is performed by both Salyu and Haruka Nakamura.   Preorders are now available and those snagging a copy will also be gifted an original sticker featuring the album’s artwork.   The record is only available in limited quantities and sales will conclude once the item is sold out.   TRIGUN STAMPEDE Non-Credit Ending
    TOMBI, performed by Kvi Baba, was released on January 6 and has seen a surge in popularity, appearing on a number of popular playlists and reaching the top spot on the iTunes Rap and Hip-Hop chart.   The ending theme song, Hoshi no Kuzu α by Salyu and Haruka Nakamura, was released on January 13, 2023.   The jacket features an original design featuring the main character, Vash the Stampede, from the Trigun anime series.   The jacket was designed by Takahiro Yasuda, an art director and graphic designer belonging to the creative association CEKAI.   The non-credit ending video featuring the ending theme song is now available on the YouTube TOHO animation channel.   Be sure to tune into the long-awaited series TRIGUN STAMPEDE! © 2023 内藤泰弘・少年画報社/「TRIGUN STAMPEDE」製作委員会
  • Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 to be Split in Two, First Half to Air in March

    It has been announced that Attack on Titan The Final Season will split its third part into two halves.   The first half will begin airing on NHK General starting March 3 at 24:25. The second half will air sometime during 2023 with more details to be revealed in the future.   Prior to this, a special compilation of all 87 episodes will be aired on NHK General from February 25 to February 27. Every episode of Attack on Titan that has aired to date will be condensed into seven episodes.
    A new trailer has been released ahead of the beginning of Part 3 inspired by the phrase “This is Freedom.” Fans will see Eren smiling as a child, a vast difference from the man he grows to be. The despair in the video is palpable, but there is still some hope being kept alive by the characters.   Finally, to commemorate the third part of The Final Season, fans will be able to watch episodes from the series for free on the streaming service GYAO! starting January 17.   After years of massive popularity, Attack on Titan is approaching its climax. Be sure to tune into Part 3 when it begins airing in March!
