Disney Christmas 2019 at Tokyo DisneySea: Spend This Year’s Holiday Season With That Special Someone♡
Tokyo Disney Resort has announced this year’s Disney Christmas which will take place at Tokyo Disneyland® and Tokyo DisneySea® from November 8 to December 25. This is the Tokyo DisneySea® event line-up. For the Tokyo Disneyland® schedule, click here.
‘Tis the season to be jolly this year at Tokyo DisneySea, where the Christmas spirit is set to fall and settle like December snow across the park with a fantastic line-up of festive entertainment programs, magical decorations and more. Guests are invited to join the Disney cast in welcoming a very merry Christmas at this year for Disney Christmas 2019.
It’s Christmas Time!
The “It’s Christmas Time!” show returns again this year to Mediterranean Harbor to wrap guests in the Christmas spirit, featuring Mickey Mouse and friends along with singers and dancers who will perform to classic Christmas tunes.
Colour Of Christmas
This magical performance takes place at nighttime on the water at Mediterranean Harbor, featuring a huge 15-meter tall shimmering Christmas tree. Held annually, this will mark the show’s eighth and final run. Disney characters including Mickey will also be present for the performance.
The whole of Mediterranean Harbor will be wrapped in the Christmas spirit, with the huge tree in the centre and little trees all around, and onlookers all with their own wishes for the holiday season. Snow will also fall during the performance to create a romantic atmosphere.
Special Christmas Merchandise
Pouch – ¥2,000 (Tax Included)
Around 65 very special pieces of merchandise will be available for guests to pick up, many themed on the It’s Christmas Time! show. The pouch features the cute scene of Mickey and Minnie line dancing which you will see in the show. The available plush toys also have a Christmas-y gold bell on them. All of these items will be available from November 1.
There will also be adorable Duffy and Friends merchandise to pick up. Some of these items are themed on Cape Cod Village in winter, an area in the park which serves as a greeting spot for Duffy and his friends. These Christmas items will be available from November 6.
Christmas Food & Drink
A festive feast of 15 drinks and dishes will be served for Disney Christmas, from seafood pasta to roast beef sandwiches and more. There will also be a reindeer-inspired dessert as well as alcoholic cocktails and much, much more.

Tokyo DisneySea will open their new attraction Soaring: Fantastic Flight on July 23. This ride is an immensely popular attraction at theme parks around the world. DisneySea has created a new adaptation of this ride, offering a brand new and original experience to visitors. The Museum of Fantastic Flight located in the Mediterranean Harbor is celebrating Camellia Falco's innovation in the field of aviation by holding a special commemorative exhibition dedicated to her and her research. The final room of the museum is a gallery filled with Camellia's outstanding achievements. Finally, it was time to climb aboard the invention of Camellia and her colleagues; an aircraft called the Dream Flyer. The Dream Flyer was a magnificent trip. We soared through the sky, through the nature and around famous places of the world. We were propelled from one place to another, experiencing a range of new atmospheres and surroundings in so many ways. At each location, we felt the wind and temperature of each country on our skin and could even smell a mix of intriguing smells unique to each location. The final destination we arrived at was our most favourite... This DisneySea original attraction is overflowing with imagination. It was like flying through an imaginary world. On July 23, 2019, Tokyo Disney Resort will launch a new Tokyo Disney Resort App for smartphones which allows you to obtain FASTPASS tickets for rides from any location in the park.
After entering the park, you can download your FASTPASS tickets using the app. This allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of the park, giving them more time to enjoy the delicious food and discover the shops without having to rush to the other side of the park to get to the machines selling the FASTPASS tickets. You can use the app to get FASTPASS tickets at a total of 18 park attractions at the resort. This even includes tickets for the brand new DisneySea® attraction Soaring: Fantastic Flight, which will open on July 23, 2019. Tokyo Disneyland® and Tokyo DisneySea® are set to host their special Disney Halloween event again this year from September 10 to October 31. Additionally, several park facilities and services will hold their own Halloween programs this year, including at the Disney Hotel, on the Disney Resort Line, at IKSPIARI, and elsewhere.
The theme at Tokyo DisneySea this year is "a dark and bewitching Halloween." Guests are invited to a mysterious but showy Halloween festival. The park's first ever "Festival of Mystique" show will be held at Porto Paradiso where an evil power will creep. Mickey Mouse and the other Disney cast will work to recover Halloween from this wicked power. The theme at Tokyo Disneyland is "ghosts" where guests will be pulled into a spooky and exciting ghostly Halloween experience. At the "Spooky Boo! Parade," Mickey and Minnie will don all-new ghost costumes and beckon guests to join them in the spine-chilling and enticing celebrations. When the sun sets and evening covers the sky, Halloween music, visuals and lights will arise from the World Bazaar, and a new photo spot will be present for guests to take a picture together with the ghosts. Licaxxx Announces Tokyo Community Radio’s Second Event Series ‘communities’ to be Held in Tokyo and Osaka
Tokyo Community Radio (TCR), an online radio platform run by Licaxxx, has announced a new event titled communities. The event will be held at Daikanyama UNIT / Saloon in Tokyo on June 30 and at Osaka JOULE on July 1. The guest lineup includes re:ni and Laksa, two hot up-and-coming DJs and producers reshaping the UK music scene. The duo has a monthly program on NTS Radio titled re;lax, along with a party series of the same name. The Mine City Tourism Association has announced a Christmas & Valentine’s Day event at Akiyoshido Cave, one of the largest limestone caves in Japan. The event will see the natural wonder illuminated by a number of colorful lights. The Christmas event will run from December 21 to 25, 2022, while the Valentine’s Day event will run from February 10 to 14, 2023. Akiyoshido Cave is one of Yamaguchi Prefecture’s most popular tourist attractions. The interior will be decorated with colorful lights and unique soundscapes, creating a once-in-a-lifetime setting for visitors. These illuminations and sounds were directed by world-renowned lighting designer Motoko Ishii, known for her work on Tokyo Tower and the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge.

Popular singer Eve will sing the theme song for the film Black Night Parade, coming to theaters nationwide on December 23, 2022. A new trailer featuring the track has also been released alongside the announcement. Eve’s YouTube channel has over 4.2 million subscribers with video views of over 1.9 billion. The new song, Shirayuki, was written by the singer himself, who has become incredibly popular with overseas music fans as well. The track manages to be both gentle and powerful in equal measure, combining an orchestra with Eve’s unique vocals.
