New cast members have been announced for the upcoming film Kaiji: Final Game which is set for release in Japan on January 10, 2020. The highly-anticipated film is the first in nine years and will wrap up the live-action trilogy when it releases next year.
The film will star Tatsuya Fujiwara, who is reprising his role as the titular character, as well as Sōta Fukushi as Kōsuke Takakura, Mackenyu as Minato Hirose, Nagisa Sekimizu as Kanako Kirino, and Kōtarō Yoshida as Yoshihiro Kurosaki. The original manga’s author Nobuyuki Fukumoto is co-writing the film’s original story with Yuichi Tokunaga.
The newly-announced cast include Suzuki Matsuo as Ōtsuki, Yūki Amami as Rinko Endō, Katshusa Namase as Kōtarō Sakazaki, Ikusaburo Yamazaki as Keishi Nishino, Masatō Ibu as Tōgō, and Toshiki Seto as Taichi Sugehara.

In the trailer we see Kaiji living a life of self-indulgence once again. He is approached by Otsuki who hands him a flier for an annual event comprised of four games conceived by Nobuyuki Fukumoto: “The Tower of Babel”, “The Final Judgment”, “Dream Jump”, and “Gold Rock Paper Scissors.”
