The new cafe TOKYO BOX CAFE&SPACE will open in Omotesando, Harajuku on November 21, 2019.
The cafe will serve as a space to promote artists, franchises and more by collaborating with them. For the grand opening, the cafe’s first collaboration will be with Japanese idol group Keyakizaka46 which will run for a limited period from November 21, 2019 to January 13, 2020. The collaboration will subsequently move to Osaka and Nagoya where it will open on November 22 and 28 respectively.
The names of cafe menu dishes below are translated from Japanese.

This cheesy pasta dish is made with crispy cheese, the spaghetti is bathed in a rich cheese sauce, and the plate is finished with delicious seafood. Break the cheese up and tuck in!

The quirk of this veggie-packed meal is the black colour of the curry. Topped with okra, tomatoes, Japanese mustard greens, sunny-side up egg and more, this nutritional dish is sure to fill your belly.
2 People Season Pancakes – ¥1,790
For the sweet-tooths out there, they can look forward to forking into some chocolatey pancakes lathered sweetly in blueberry sauce and blueberry cream. Between the pancakes are fruits and chocolate to create a pancake sandwich, and adorning the plate is more chocolate, fruit, and blue dragées.

Named after one of the group’s catchphrases, this matcha parfait is green which is a colour that symbolises Keyakizaka46. It’s piled with chocolate, macarons, ice cream, warabimochi and more for a truly hearty and mouth-watering dessert.

KFC Japan is teaming up with the Peanuts franchise to release a new line of mugs featuring designs of Snoopy and the rest of the gang. They will be released on November 22, with in-store pre-orders opening on November 1.
Christmas is a big time for KFC in Japan as it's a location many people enjoy dining at during the holiday season. This special Snoopy collaboration has been dubbed a pre-Christmas celebration. Four mugs will be available, including pink, yellow and blue ones as well as a "rare" mug which is the hardest one to obtain. The mugs feature completely original illustrations of Snoopy and his friends playing in the snow. Also arriving on November 1 is a series of other Snoopy-themed merchandise which can be obtained when ordering the kids meals pictured below. From February 11 to February 26, an exhibition inspired by the popular rock band CreepHyp will be held at the PARCO GALLERY on the 6th floor of the Nagoya PARCO West Building. The event is being held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CreepHyp. The exhibition is themed around a ‘Museum of Voices.’
A person’s voice is said to be a true expression of their personality. This exhibition will give fans a new sense of what CreepHyp is and will feature their music, their MC content, and various radio appearances.

To celebrate the return of Urusei Yatsura after 36 long years, a themed cafe will be coming to four cities in Japan for a limited time! The first cafe will open on December 1, 2022. Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi that ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1978 until 1987. An anime series aired in 1981 and became a massive hit with audiences, and understandably, it is still loved by anime and manga fans today. The historic Nagoya Castle will hold a special nighttime viewing event for 14 days only, from November 25 until December 8, 2022. During this period, Honmaru Palace will be open to the public at night, and the Chrysanthemum Corridor inside will be open to visitors for the first time. The Ninomaru Garden will also be illuminated and will transport guests to a different place and time by showing a space only possible during dark hours. Inspired by the relationship between light and shadow, this event focuses on changes that occur over time and the creation and emergence of new ideas and things. Honmaru Palace, Typically Closed to the Public, to be Open at NightNagoya Castle’s Honmaru Palace was completed in 1615 and served as the primary residence of the Lord of the Owari Domain and as the Domain’s government office. The interior of the palace was lavishly decorated with paintings and other art pieces and was praised as a masterpiece. Sadly, it was destroyed by an air raid in 1945. Restoration work began in 2009 and was completed in 2018 with unparalleled accuracy. The Honmaru Palace gives off a completely different aura at night.
First Public Viewing of the Jodan-no-ma in the Joraku-den
The Joraku-den was added to Nagoya Castle to accommodate the third Shogun, Iemitsu, on his way to Kyoto. It is the most luxurious of all the Honmaru Palace buildings, and this event marks the first time that the Chrysanthemum Corridor on the north side will be open to the public.
