Escape game creators SCRAP recently teamed up with the popular anime series Dr. Stone to create a wholly original escape game centred around the series which they call “Escape From the Stone Cave.” To commemorate the launch of the real-life escape game, SCRAP also teamed up with the latest edition of Weekly Shonen Jump which went on sale on April 27, 2020.
The escape game features a completely original story with full voice acting from the cast. Participants must conduct real science experiments to solve puzzles and crack codes to escape the cave. The game was made with in collaboration with AnotherVision, a puzzle creation company that helped with the puzzles and science experiments.
The latest edition of Weekly Shonen Jump features a three-page special from SCRAP which has readers tearing up the magazine amongst other hidden secrets. Those who manage to solve the magazine puzzle will receive a special digital image from the event’s website.
SCRAP have even launched a collection of original “Escape From the Stone Cave” merchandise on their website, including science experiment puzzle kits.

Dr. Stone THE STAGE ~SCIENCE WORLD~, the stage play adaptation of Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi’s Dr. Stone sci-fi adventure manga, is being performed at Ikebukuro’s Sunshine Theater until July 18, 2022. In the year 2019 AD, a mysterious flash suddenly petrifies nearly all human life. 3,700 years pass with the human race frozen in stone, until in April 5738, a 15-year-old prodigy named Senku Ishigami is suddenly revived. Japan’s National Museum of Nature and Science will hold a collaboration with the anime series Dr. Stone starting June 21! The project will include mini-exhibitions, character audio guides for permanent exhibits, commentary panels with collaborative visuals for permanent exhibitions, and collaborative goods! The event aims to convey a deeper interest in science to the younger generation.
Mini-Exhibition
A mini-exhibition will be held to explain the world of the first two seasons of Dr. Stone from a scientific point of view. The science used by the show’s protagonist, Senku Ishigami, and his friends in the Kingdom of Science will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner through specimens and materials from the Museum's collection of natural history and the history of science and technology. Escape rooms invite family and friends to solve exciting puzzles and riddles within a time limit, and have become massively popular around the world. Since the first one opened in 2007, over 8 million people in Japan have participated in one of these exciting events held everywhere from apartment buildings to amusement parks. The Escape from Godzilla event will be held throughout the Atami Bay Resort Korakuen, and will ask players to solve mysteries throughout the hotel. Visitors will need to explore rooms and sometimes interact with hotel staff to reach the end. SCRAP, known for its numerous crossover escape games, created the project. Atami is the setting of the decisive battle in the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla. 2022 is the 60th anniversary of the film, and guests are invited to enjoy an original story and original images showing Godzilla’s attack on present-day Atami in cooperation with Toho. SCRAP, a company known for its unique escape games, have recently started selling its ‘Nazokan’ (Mystery Can) product at stores nationwide starting December 22, 2021. These items sold out instantly upon initial release, and have been highly praised by puzzle-lovers, including popular actress and model Nanase Nishino!
