Fujiko Pro and the Fujiko F Fujio Museum have launched their new “STAY HOME” project together with Doraemon.
A message from Doraemon was included in the April 29 issue of The Asahi Shimbun’s morning edition. The message has also been translated into English, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian, and Arabic and posted across Doramon’s social media accounts for people around the world.
As part of Doraemon’s STAY HOME project, his official website, Doraemon Channel, has been posting numerous things including free manga, wallpapers which can be used to make video calls more fun, and more.
The STAY HOME project aims to relieve people’s worries and stresses during this turbulent time and will continue to roll things out to cheer everyone up.
The website has also released some special posters you can download and print to show thanks to people having to deliver parcels, food and so on as a result of shop and restaurant closures. The one above reads “Thank you for the delivery. Please leave the parcel here.”
Fujiko F Fujio Museum has also released some wallpapers which if used in a video call make it look like you’re in the museum itself. Try them out to lift the mood during a video call.

The film Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia will be released on March 3, 2023. The 42nd Doraemon movie follows Doraemon, Nobita, and his friends as they venture off to find Utopia, a perfect land in the sky where everyone lines in joy and happiness. They do so using an airship with a time warp function on their adventure, and to commemorate the film’s release, the Flying Doraemon Project began on January 14. A real-life 17-meter-long Doraemon blimp will soon appear in the sky, and fans are being asked to decide on a name for the craft. The blimp, inspired by the Doraemon movie, will feature popular characters including Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo, and Gian. The blimp is the largest unmanned airship in Japan.
The message of the Flying Doraemon Project is to convey the feeling that in this day and age, children and adults alike can once again look upward and move forward toward their hopes and dreams.
Fans are asked to contribute ideas for the blimps name during the application period. Check the website for more details!

Shogakukan’s online store has released a long-sleeve shirt inspired by Nobita’s room from the long-running Doraemon series. Released on December 15, the fashionable and fun item is sure to be a fan favorite.

Beloved Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama’s Works on Display at Islamic Arts Museum as Part of Qatar Creates
Qatar Museums recently announced Qatar Creates, a year-round cultural project overseeing, promoting, and encouraging diverse cultural activities throughout Qatar. Currently, over 40 pieces of art by prominent local and international artists are on display in Doha and throughout the country. A large-scale outdoor exhibit titled My Soul Blooms Forever, designed by iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, has just been installed on the grounds of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). The exhibition includes a large-scale work on display for the first time in Qatar, expressing the artist's well-known reverence for the natural world through a spectacular installation of colorful, fantastical plants and a three-dimensional sculpture of a pumpkin with Kusama’s iconic polka-dot pattern. The Sumida Hokusai Museum in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, will be holding the ‘Hokusai at Play with the 100 Poems’ exhibition from December 15, 2022 until February 26, 2023. The exhibition will focus on the Hyakunin Isshu, a famous collection of 100 poems integral to Japanese traditional culture.
