A new promotional video has been released for the upcoming anime series The Day I Became a God which is being produced by P.A.Works and Aniplex. It is the third original anime series conceived by Key following Angel Beats! and Charlotte.
Story Synopsis
Hina, a girl who awakens as a god, foresees the end of the world. This leads her to choose a boy, a companion to watch over until the end arrives… (*Translated from Japanese)
The anime will be animated by P.A.Works and sees production staff from Angel Beats! and Charlotte return including Jun Maeda (Visual Arts/Key) who is writing the series and Na-Ga (Visual Arts/Key) who is designing the characters.
The Day I Became a God – Teaser PV
A special website entitled Maeda Lab for the anime series opened on Sunday which features talks with Jun Maeda and special guests, an article on all of Jun Maeda’s writing work to date including his major work for Key titles such as Angel Beats and Charlotte, and more.

The Day I Became a God is an upcoming anime series being produced by P.A.Works and Aniplex. It is the third original anime series conceived by Key following Angel Beats! and Charlotte. It will began airing this October.
It has been announced that the opening theme, ending theme, and insert songs that will play in The Day I Became a God are being written and composed by Jun Maeda, who is also a co-founder of Key and is writing the script for the upcoming anime series, arranged by MANYO, and performed by singer-songwriter Nagi Yanagi.
A promotional video was posted on Aniplex’s YouTube channel on Saturday which features the opening theme Kimi to Iu Shinwa (“The Legend That is You”). Check it out below.
