A live music show entitled “Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE ~PREMIUM LIVE~” was scheduled to be held on June 27, 2020 which would have seen singers and voice actors Ryōhei Kimura, Inori Minase, Yoshino Nanjō, Yūki Ono, Ayane Sakura, Kaori Fukuhara, Sumire Morohoshi, and Mayu Sekiya perform songs from the video game Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE. However, the show has had to be cancelled.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for fans, as it has been announced that the character songs from the game will be released digitally as a single cut on the same day the concert was scheduled—June 27, 2020.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE is a crossover RPG developed by Atlus and published by Nintendo for the Wii U. It was released on the Wii U in Japan in December 2015 and North America, Europe and Australia in June 26. It was re-released this year for the Nintendo Switch on January 17, 2020. The aforementioned roster voice the characters in the video game.

The concert set for this June was to be the first for the video game in four years, but due to the situation surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), it had to be cancelled, which left fans sad on Twitter.

For those who were looking forward to the performance, they can now enjoy the forthcoming release of seven character songs released digitally as a single cut. The tracks are taken from the Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore Best Sound Collection album and are ones that are sung by those who were scheduled to perform.

The instrumental and game size versions of the tracks will also be made available on the same day for fans who want to perform their own covers while at home. The tracks have also been remastered for the single cut release and made high resolution.
