Suntory Beverage & Food launched a collaboration with its own Iyemon Tokucha green tea and the popular TV anime series Yu Yu Hakusho on June 15, 2020.

Collaboration Breakdown

The characters of Yu Yu Hakusho can be called “Health Professionals” as they enjoy a balanced diet, get plenty of exercise, and enjoy adequate sleep—and that goes for their roster of energetic seniors, like Kurama, who’s said to be more than 1,000 years old, and Raizen, who is over 1,500. For the green tea collaboration, the aim is to help support a “life of 100 years” for people by lending them strength and support from the characters of Yu Yu Hakusho who live a life of longevity.

Yu Yu Hakusho Chat

“Yu Yu Hakusho Chat” is a chat service that was first launched on the LINE messaging app in March which aims to support healthy habits centred on food, exercise, and getting your daily dose of green tea.

Popular characters from the anime series will send you motivational messengers, exercise tips, and more. This includes training routines seen in the show itself. At the end of your training schedule, you can receive a free original Yu Yu Hakusho wallpaper.
