An official English-subtitled YouTube channel was launched for the popular 2D virtual YouTuber network NIJISANJI on June 22 to the excitement of international fans. The official name is “NIJISANJI EN.”
What is NIJISANJI?
NIJISANJI is a group of 2D virtual YouTubers known as “Virtual Livers.” The project delivers next generation entertainment with events held for the VTubers, official merchandise and digital content sold, music produced, and more. As of June 2020 there are around 100 virtual members, each with their own unique personalities, who post on video streaming platforms like YouTube.
NIJISANJI started in Japan and has since expanded to audiences in China, Indonesia, South Korea, and now English speaking countries.
An official English Twitter account called NIJISANJI World opened at the end of January this year. With the opening of the official English YouTube channel, NIJISANJI’s popularity is set to grow even more and will help to spread the word of Virtual YouTubers, or “VTubers.”

On June 16, the girls’ vocal and dance group ATARASHII GAKKO! released OTONABLUE – From THE FIRST TAKE on streaming services. Takuma Usa appears in the new YouTube short drama series Sarashiai, Konna Yoru wa Dare no Sei? (Exposed Love: Who’s to Blame for a Night Like This?) The romance-focused ensemble drama touches on a wide array of difficult subjects found in today’s society, like adultery, sugar daddies, plastic surgery, friends with benefits, doxxing, betrayal, and redemption. Takuma Usa, who portrays the host Tsukasa, appears in the third episode.

Eve has announced a special YouTube LIVE scheduled to take place on December 24 at 19:00. The new cover song project ‘CrosSing- Music & Voice’ is live! CrosSing brings together voice actors, anime song artists, VTubers, 2.5D actors, and other artists through music. The cast of the first season is featured in the channel teaser. In addition to popular voice actors Maaya Uchida, Kana Hanazawa, and Akari Kito, the project also includes towana, vocalist of popular ani-song unit fhána.
