Johnny’s Smile Up ! Project was set up by Johnny’s Group to contribute towards society and aid in relief activities. In the past, it has helped organise relief activities following such disasters as the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and Great Eastern Japan Earthquake.
Japanese messaging app LINE supports the project’s work, and so has teamed up with it and Eiichiro Oda, Takuya Kimura, and Kazuya Kamenashi to create ONE PIECE themed ‘donation stamps’ which will be available on LINE from August 27 to November 26.
LINE sells donation stamps every year, with the proceeds going towards providing relief during disasters as well as for children around the world. Since April this year, LINE has supported and cooperated with Johnny’s Smile Up ! Project, and in June released their first collaborative stamps together which were based on the Japanese boy band Kanjani Eight. The two companies are coming together once again to develop ONE PIECE stamps in collaboration with Japanese publisher Shueisha, the creator of ONE PIECE Eiichiro Oda, and singers and actors Takuya Kimura and Kazuya Kamenashi, both of whom are close friends with Oda.
The full stamp set includes 24 stamps for just ¥250 or 100 LINE coins, all of which were sketched and/or conceived by Eiichiro Oda, Takuya Kimura, and Kazuya Kamenashi.

Netflix has announced that it will release the live-action adaptation of One Piece worldwide in 2023.
One Piece is one of Japan's most popular and long-running manga series. Created by Eiichiro Oda, the manga has sold over 500 million copies worldwide.
The series was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, starting with the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy going on a journey with the Straw Hat Pirates to find the One Piece, a treasure that was left behind by the legendary “Pirate King” Gol D. Roger.
The live-action project has gained a ton of attention on social media, with the cast being revealed in 2022. As the world awaits more production news, the first live-action visuals have been released along with the news that the series is coming in 2023.
Following the hugely positive feedback for ONE PIECE FILM RED, fans are ready to see the Monkey D. Luffy once again in the first episode of the Netflix series titled ROMANCE DAWN – Dawn of Adventure-.
In the original series, Luffy, who admires the great pirate Shanks after meeting him in his hometown of Foosha as a child, decides to become the Pirate King, taking to the open seas to make his dream come true.
During his unpredictable adventures, Luffy meets a group of friends who he can always trust.
The newly-released visual shows Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) in his trademark straw hat, raising his right fist to the sky.
On his Instagram page, Godoy often posts pictures of his friends and fellow cast members including Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro) and Jacob Gibson (Usopp). Fans have been largely pleased with the casting choices.
The extraordinary success of ONE PIECE FILM RED made headlines in 2022, as the film topped the yearly box office in Japan. It finally ended its theatrical run on January 29.

Japanese lingerie line PEACH JOHN has launched a new collection inspired by ONE PIECE FILM RED! The new items went on sale starting September 21, and fans can purchase them from the official PEACH JOHN site and at PEACH JOHN stores nationwide. The collaboration includes bra and panty sets inspired by Nami, Nico Robin, and Uta, the main character of the latest film. Pajamas inspired by Shanks will also be available in both male and female sizes. While sold out on the online shop, these are still available in stores. Fans can also grab a cozy one-piece dress inspired by Uta’s outfit in the film, while the bra and panty set features satin ribbon reminiscent of Uta’s hairstyle. Sae Okamoto’s Mecha-Ude project has attracted worldwide attention, and now, a full anime and manga series have been announced! Okamoto’s up-and-coming anime production company TriF Studio, located in Fukuoka, will work on the series, which follows Hikaru, a normal student, and Alma, a Mecha-Ude wielder who can be activated when he bonds with a human. Yoshino Koyoka has also started publishing a manga adaptation of the series on LINE Manga and other ebookjapan services. Three free chapters were published on September 15, and the series will run bi-weekly. TriF Studio will supervise and provide the story. A documentary video teasing the anime series and giving more information about TriF Studio has also been uploaded to YouTube. The video shows that the pilot’s theme song was written by Eve with a music video produced by Masayoshi Oishi. Hiroshi Matsuyama, the CEO of CyberConnect2, serves as the general supervisor of the series. Terumi Nishii, the chief animation director for the popular series Jujutsu Kaisen, worked on character designs for Mecha-Ude. The average staff age at TriF is 25, which is incredibly young for an animation studio. What can we expect from such a unique collection of creators?
