Two Sega purikura machines–ROMAPI and lalamee–will start a collaboration event with BE:FIRST on September 15! Until November 7, fans can get some snapshots with their favorite members at machines nationwide.

 

This collaboration event will feature moving photo frames, with lalamee offering 24 varieties and ROMAPI offering 28 varieties. Fans will also find 25 exclusive stickers featuring the members’ names, mini-characters, and logos! Fans can also take 3-second video moments with the members, giving them the feeling that they’re taking pictures side by side with the popular idols.

While Sonic the Hedgehog 2 isn’t coming to theaters until April 8, Paramount has confirmed that a third film is already in the works. A Paramount+ streaming series based on Sonic’s sidekick Knuckles is also coming soon, and will star Idris Elba. 

 

The first Sonic the Hedgehog film is the highest-grossing movie based on a video game to ever be released in the US, grossing $320 million worldwide. The sequel is scheduled to release in the west on April 8 and in Japan this summer. The cast from the first film has returned for the second installment, with Jeff Fowler directing and Josh Miller and Pat Casey providing the screenplay.

 

Inspired by Sega’s video game franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog tells the story of Sonic, the world’s fastest hedgehog, and his adventures after arriving on Earth. The first live-action adventure comedy film was released in 2020 and starred Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.

​It may seem like a strange collaboration, but RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto is teaming up with Sega Toys to offer a limited-time hotel stay guests will never forget. From August 12, 2021 to March 31, 2022, visitors can stay in a tropical jungle-themed room beneath the stars. This unique ‘Starry Sky Glamping at the Hotel’ plan will commemorate the launch of a new ‘Homestar’ home-use planetarium, set to go on sale August 12, 2021. These popular items have sold over 1.7 million units, and those who book this jungle-themed room will be able to go stargazing while in the comfort of their hotel room. Originally, this plan was concocted by female staff at the hotel as a way to provide comfort and happiness to those who have been unable to travel easily, or who have experienced lifestyle changes due to the current situation around the world.

 

A reservation won’t have guests walking into just any hotel room: one room has been completely stripped of furniture, and is completely decorated with imitation greenery to create an immersive jungle atmosphere.
