Namie Amuro finished her 100th concert in her national tour titled, “namie amuro LIVE STYLE 2016-2017”at Osaka/ORIX THEATER on the 3rd of May (Wed). Of all her tours to date, this was the most-ever number of concerts per tour she has done. Amuro’s live concerts are well known for their stoic performances that consists of only singing and dancing and no talking, and the tickets always sell out quickly. It is famous that the tickets are very difficult to obtain.
On May 3rd, she held her 100th and last concert of the tour which was held in 40 places nation wide, to an audience of about 260 thousand people in total. The venue was packed with lucky fans who obtained the premium ticket to this concert.
Aside from the high-quality dance performance with the dancers, the six movable towers located at the back of the set gathered much attention. The towers contained LED lights and stage lights and they were programmed to synchronize with the concert performance. Various patterns were shown such as when the 3 towers came together they formed t large screens.
While performing “Hide & Seek” which is included in the album “PLAY”in the middle of the concert, a huge screen split, rotated and turned into illumination lamps and Amuro’s image was displayed. In addition, while performing “Hands On Me” included in the album “FEEL,” motion-captured CG dancers were displayed and they danced together with Amuro. While performing the hit tune “Mint,” the music video of “Mint” was broadcast on three screen and the content of the music video and the performance on the stage were synchronized. The precisely calculated stage was a sight to see.
While performing “Hero” which was the biggest hit in 2016, Amuro held a microphone to the audience and everybody sang along with her. In the medium numbers such as “Baby Don’t Cry,”Amuro waved her hands to the audience and the venue was filled with warm atmosphere.
Amuro commented “I am happy that I was ablet to finish my first time 100 concerts without a problem. Performing in halls enabled me to enjoy the show with my fans.
Also, a LIVE DVD & Blu-ray which includes 27 songs including, “Hero,” “Mint” and“Dear Diary / Fighter,”the theme song for the movie, “Death Note – Light up the NEW world,”was released on the same day as her final concert. For all those who attended her final concert and for all those who were unable to attend, I recommend viewing this DVD and experiencing Amuro’s premium stage.
Amuro is going to release the single “Just You and I,” the theme song of Nihon Television’s Wednesday drama “Hahani Naru.” on the16th and 17th of September. This is the day her 25th anniversary since debut live concert titled, “namie amuro 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE in OKINAWA” is going to be held. Keep you sights on Amuro’s new activities this year.
