Vans Launches Where’s Wally Collection in Japan

Vans released a collection of shoes in collaboration with the internationally-popular children’s puzzle book Where’s Wally? in January. The line-up dropped in Japan on Friday (March 12).

Where’s Wally?, also known as Where’s Waldo? in the US, is a children’s puzzle book series created by English illustrator Martin Handford. First released in 1987, the books contain detailed illustrations of dozens of people from which readers must locate a cast of reoccurring characters including the titular protagonist.

 

The Vans collection features these detailed depictions on the shoes which are available in men’s, women’s, and kids sizes.

The Authentic 44 DX One Piece Cookie! features a pink checkerboard pattern with an illustration of the adorable character blended with Cookie! himself. The collection will also feature other goods including hats, bags, hoodies, shirts, and socks.    The Vans One Piece Collection will go on sale on November 11, 2022, at the Vans Story at APAC and VANS retailers nationwide. It’s unclear whether the items will be available to purchase overseas.

    Hello Kitty will be collaborating with Where's Wally? to release a lineup of general goods from November 2019. Where's Wally? is a picture book we are all familiar with. Wally first made his debut 32 years ago and soon became a famous picture book character known all over the world. Where's Wally original illustration exhibitions in Japan have been met with a hugely positive response, being visited by people of all generations and nationalities. The company Plazastyle holds a license to use the character Where's Wally in Japan.  With this license, they have created the WHERE'S WALLY?
