Animate Announces Hetalia World: Stars Online Event With New Artwork

Japanese anime and manga merchandise chain Animate has announced a Hetalia: World Stars digital fair which will begin on June 19. Eight official new pieces of original artwork have been illustrated for the event.


Hetalia: World Stars is an ongoing anime series and adaptation of Hidekaz Himaruya’s manga of the same name which is serialised in Shueisha’s Jump Comics+. The comedy series features characters based off different countries such as Italy, Germany, and Japan.

 

The online event, which will run from June 19 to July 11 both in-store at Animate and their online shop in Japan, will gift fans one of eight possible cards featuring the above-pictured illustrations for every ¥1,000 they spend or pre-order on Hetalia: World Stars related books and merchandise, or for every CD, Blu-ray, or DVD they buy. Each illustration sees the characters eting a different kind of food.



Animate will also will a range of merchandise with the same designs at the fair, such as acrylic stands, pins, and more.

    Those familiar with the Hetalia series will recognize these country-based characters, even when they’re sporting cat ears. Guests will be able to purchase a number of completely original goods, play mini-games for prizes, and chow down on themed menu items. Certain goods will also be available from the Namco Parks Online Store. 

     

    During the event period, a total of six unique original stamp designs will be available on a weekly basis. Starting on October 20, the Italy, Germany, and Japan stamp will be available, with a new design popping up each Monday.

  • Hetalia World★Stars Themed Cafe to Open at Tower Records

    Tower Records has announced a collaboration with the Hetalia World★Stars anime series which will take place at three TOWER RECORDS CAFÉ branches: in Shibuya and Umeda NU Chayamamachi from June 9 and Nagoya Sakae SKYLE from June 22.

    Hetalia World★Stars is a manga series by Hidekaz Himaruya that’s serialised in Jump Comics+. In promotion of the new original net anime series which began airing on April 1, Tower Records has teamed up with the popular franchise to create a themed cafe experience with food, drinks, and desserts.

     

    Fans can also get their hands on a selection of cafe-exclusive merchandise featuring their favourite characters including Italy, Germany, America, England, France, Russia, China, Czech, and Slovakia. These items are also available at Tower Records’ online shop in Japan.

     

    Since you have a time limit of 80 minutes to dine at the cafe, you can book a table in advance, which also earns you some freebie merch. Tickets are now available. Additionally, if there is a free table on the day, you can also go straight in. Same-day tickets are available in limited quantities.

  • Hetalia World Star Blu-ray Box and Special Price DVD Announced in Japan

    Frontier Works began airing the new Hetalia World Stars anime series on April 1 and announced the release of a Blu-ray box and special price DVD which will hit shelves in Japan on July 28.

     

    The Hetalia World Stars manga series has sold over 500,000 copies with just four volumes.

    The Blu-ray Box will include not only the anime episodes but an extra disc featuring footage from Jump Festa 2021, character songs by Czech and Slovakia, and more.

    An official website and Twitter page were launched on October 25 announcing that Hidekaz Himaruya’s Hetalia World Stars manga series is getting an anime adaptation in Spring 2021. The popular series is serialised in Shonen Jump+ and has sold over 500,000 copies across the four volumes that are currently out.
