Bones are set to adapt Jun Mochizuki’s manga series The Case Study of Vanitas into an anime series this July. Aniplex released a new promotional video on their official YouTube channel last Tuesday which features both the opening theme Sora to Uro by sasanomaly and 0 (zero) by LMYK.

“It’s a real privilege to be involved with The Case Study of Vanitas by performing the ending theme. I have been sucked in by the setting and the beauty of the illustrations in the manga so I’m really looking forward to the anime adaptation as a viewer as well. When writing the song 0 (zero), I based it on the mysterious story to expand the imagination. It follows what could be waiting for the characters at the end, and also raises the question in me of what will continue to be there, unchanged? What is that thing they’re chasing relentlessly, something that continues to exist as time passes? I hope this song lets people in on the unknowns that exist both in this story and our own world.”

Additionally, in promotion of volume nine of the manga going on sale in Japan, Animate stores are now distributing ‘starter books’ with information on the anime series and more.
