Calvin Klein has announced that actor Matsuda Shota will be acting as the Japanese ambassador for Calvin Klein Menswear, which launches in Japan this Autumn. The new campaign and collection will be launching nationwide on September 17 2021. 

Matsuda commented on the announcement, saying “Over 20 years ago when I was still in elementary school, Calvin Klein was probably one of the first fashion brands that I came to hear about. The New York image and the logo waistband underwear remains a vivid memory to me. Fashion is easy to enjoy; You can dress up in formalwear and play pretend, or transform into a different person without changing your personality, so it plays a fairly important role to me. Sometimes I change my mindset and dress up as the person I would like to become. Having been chosen as the ambassador, it feels like my outlook and way of living have been recognized by the brand. I was really excited about the campaign.

The 2021 Fall collection from Calvin Klein Menswear was inspired by the city, featuring smooth lines and a cool color palette. The new line has been available to purchase nationwide since July.
