Let us introduce to you, “Minions Cup Omelet Rice”.

■1: Ingredients

・2 cups of rice (to make the chicken rice)

・Some carrots

・Some green peppers

・Some corn

・Ketchup 3 tablespoons

・A little black pepper

・Two eggs(one whole egg, one egg yolk only)

・Sliced cheese –one slice

・Sliced cheddar cheese-one slice

・Some laver

・Fried pasta(please look at Purin-chan instructions)

・Circle cookie cutter

・Punch for laver

・corn starch(to make thinly fried omlet)

・Circular containers to put the omelet rice in(for this recipe, paper cups purchased at a ¥100 shop were used)

2: First, make the chicken rice. Cut carrots and green peppers into small pieces and fry them with some corn. When the carrots become soft, add the rice and fry some more. Next, add some ketchup and black pepper.

☆Add other ingredients to your liking

☆Add enough ketchup to make the chicken rice to give it a strong flavor

3: Put the chicken rice into the cups.

4: Fly the eggs to make a thin omelet. In order to make the omelet the bright yellow, use one whole egg and one egg yolk. Next, add cornstarch blended with water and filter it through a strainer.

☆The reason cornstarch blended with water is added is to avoid the omelet from tearing.

Next, pour the egg mixture into a fry pan and make the omelet. Be careful that the omelet is not burn.

Fry over a low heat and when the surface consolidates, turn the heat off and wait until it cools. When it can be touched, pull away the egg omelet with your hands. Place the fried surface so that it faces top.

5: Next, turn the circular cup over and cut out some circular pieces of omelet. Be careful that it does not tear.

6: Place these circular pieces of omelet on top the cup-filled chicken rice.

7: Now, let’s make the character parts. Cut the laver as is shown in the photo. Cut out some circular pieces of cheese and cut a sheet of laver so that it is a larger circle than the cheese. Next, cut a sheet of laver into some circular shapes which are smaller than the cheese.

Place a dab of mayonnaise to  make the center of the eyes. For one of the eyes, place the mayonnaise at the bottom of the eye lid.

8: Use the laver punch and to make the mouth parts.

Use the pieces of deep fried pasta to make the hair as shown in the photo. Finally, place a dab of ketchup on the cheeks to make them red.

  • Kaori’s Easy Recipe: Learn to Make Miffy Parfait Using Tofu!

    08.September.2021 | FEATURES / FOOD

With just a small bit of ingenuity, turn everyday food into something cute using Kaori’s Easy Recipe! With a few simple ideas, an ordinary recipe magically transforms into a cute dish.   In this recipe, I’ll show you how to make an adorable Miffy Parfait using tofu shiratama!   Tofu shiratama can be frozen without hardening, so it’s great to use for cooking as well as making sweets.     Ingredients 250g refined rice flour 300g silken tofu ✩ This is about 1 bag of refined rice flour and 1 piece of silken tofu. Canned fruit or fruit of your choice     Put the refined rice flour and silken tofu into a bowl and mix well. ⚠️ Do not drain the tofu! Don’t add water, just these two ingredients.   ✩I knead all ingredients and then freeze it. Feel free to freeze it as dough, or boil it first. You can put them in Tupperware and store them in water in the refrigerator for a day or two. Don’t worry, they won’t harden!   Add the coloring. Take a little bit of food coloring and add as you like. Here, I’m adding the yellow that will be the center of the flower.     After mixing the dough, place it on parchment paper and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. You can shape it before placing it in the freezer, but chilling it will make it easier to work with.   Cut out Miffy and her flowers. Place the yellow-colored piece into the middle of the flower. Roll the rest of the shiratama into balls.     Boil the shaped shiratama while on the baking sheet. Boil the round shiratama as well. When they float to the top, place them in cool water.     Place the shaped shiratama on parchment paper or plastic wrap and let dry briefly before adding decoration.     Mix black cocoa with a little water, and using the mixture, draw Miffy’s face.     ⑧   Place the flowers and shiratama balls inside the glass, follow up with your favorite fruits! (If using canned fruit, feel free to add the syrup as well!)   I hope you enjoy decorating this colorful dish!

With just a few simple ideas, an ordinary recipe magically transforms into a cute dish.    Today, I’ll teach you how to make two-layer Mizu Yokan, perfect for a hot summer day!   You don’t even need an oven to make this sweet treat--just let it chill and harden! It’s great as a summer vacation snack.    IngredientsThis recipe makes 2 cups. For Mizu Yokan: 120g fine-grained sweet bean paste100cc waterPinch of salt1-2g Kanten powder   For Matcha Flavoring:5g matcha20g sugar100cc water1-2g Kanten powder   1Place bean paste, water, salt, and Kanten powder into a pot and boil until dissolved. The Kanten powder needs to be heated for a further 1-2 minutes after boiling to harden properly. After boiling, reduce heat to low.    2Pour mixture into container. After about 30 minutes at room temperature, the mixture will start to harden. Work on the matcha flavoring when it begins to harden.      3Place matcha, water, sugar, and Kanten powder in a pot and boil thoroughly. As you did with the Mizu Yokan, reduce heat to low and continue cooking through.      4When the mixture is heated through, gently pour it over the Mizu Yokan and refrigerate until ready to serve.    This is delicious with a variety of toppings, from red bean paste and fresh cream to Shiratama dumplings and fresh fruit!

  • Minion-themed Sweets Return to Lawson Convenience Stores Across Japan

    12.August.2021 | FOOD / MOVIE

Bandai Candy’s Tabemas series of Japanese sweets are releasing a fan favorite yet again! Minion-themed wagashi are making a triumphant return to Lawson convenience stores in Japan (excluding Natural Lawson and Lawson Store 100) on August 10, 2021.    The line-up includes popular characters from the Despicable Me and Minions film series: the childish Bob, prank-loving Stuart, and the leader of the group, Kevin. After a popular release in 2020, it’s no wonder they’re back!   Tabemas, a portmanteau of ‘edible’ and ‘mascot,’ is a series of traditional confections made to look like well-known characters, crafting them out of ingredients such as red bean paste, rice flour, and sugar. Each Minion is faithfully crafted in edible fashion, from the goggles to the hairstyles.          While the sweets are filled with red bean paste, a traditional flavor in Japanese sweets, each character has a different flavor: Bob is banana (his favorite), Stuart is strawberry, and Kevin is chocolate. As delicious as these treats may be, they’re almost too cute to eat! We’d recommend taking a few snaps for Instagram before digging in.    The Minions aren’t the only characters the Tabemas series has made into edible creations: other popular releases include familiar faces from Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, One Piece, Snoopy,Kirby, Doraemon, Yo-kai Watch, Sailor Moon, Detective Conan, and a collection of beloved Sanrio and Disney characters!   Which Minion is your favorite flavor?    Minions Franchise (C) Universal City Studios LLC.
