On August 6th, Moga Mogami announced her departure from the hugely popular idol group Dempagumi.inc. The group are an international sensation, having performed at a huge number of events overseas, drawing them countless fans from all corners of the globe. They have also performed at the MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON FESTIVAL three years in a row, an event managed by the staff here at MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON.
Many fans have expressed their surprise and bewilderment at the sudden news. The members of Dempagumi have also released their comments regarding Moga’s exit, including Moga herself. The comments detail Moga Mogami’s decision to depart from the group, something which wasn’t made in haste and something which brought much concern upon its proposal, and the other members also present their reactions.
We really wanted to post this article for all of the international Dempagumi fans out there. So we have translated both Moga Mogami’s comment and the other members’ comment into English and Chinese.

Today, on August 6th, I took leave of Dempagumi.Inc. I am terribly sorry for such sudden notice.
I still feel strongly about wanting to stand on stage as the 6 of us again. I still love each and every member of the group. Not a single thing has changed in that regard. Unfortunately, however, I cannot balance what my heart desires with my health. The current situation has made it very difficult to continue working as part of Dempagumi.inc.
Even up to now, I have taken time off several times from work due to poor physical health, and it has really gotten me down. I am really sorry.
I cannot rule out that it won’t happen again in the future. It’s something that I have no control over. I do not want to cause any more inconveniences, and so I have decided to take my leave. In all honesty, it has had me concerned for many years now, and I cannot help but feel frustrated.
I have gained much working together as part of Dempagumi.inc over the past 5 years. Me, who loved video games and who just stayed at home all the time, and who had no self-confidence, became able to look people in the eyes and talk to them, was able to live independently, sang and danced in front of people. I laughed, I cried, and was able to make somebody else happy. I am truly grateful to have lived all of it. At the beginning, I was absolutely terrible at singing and dancing, or even having a conversation. Despite that, I received support from lots of people, and thanks to that, as well as all the comments and letters I received, my anxieties were wiped clean and gave me a “right, let’s do this!” attitude. And that’s why I am truly filled with gratitude for everyone that has has been there for me.
But this does not mean that Dempagumi.inc is breaking up, so please continue supporting the rest of the girls.
I intend to continue working independently, as Moga Mogami, once my health improves. My path might be different than the other girls’, but right now my heart wants to continue to keep working hard together with them.

Japanese idol group Dempagumi.inc performed at Team Smile Toyosu PIT this week on February 15 and 16 where they said goodbye to Eimi Naruse, a member who first joined the group back in 2010. During the encore of the second day concert, the group announced that five new members are being added to Dempagumi.inc, bringing the total number up to 10.
The new line-up now includes original members Mirin Furukawa, Risa Aizawa, Ayane Fujisaki, Rin Kaname, and Nagi Nemoto, and new members Aikawa Kozue, Amasawa Rito, Kobato Ria, Sorano Aozora, and Takasaki Hina. They performed the brand new song Princess Dempa Power! Shine On! at the encore. The track was written by Kenichi Maeyamada, also known as Hyadain. They also performed the deep number Future Diver as their new formation. The new members Aikawa Kozue, Amasawa Rito (RITO/meme tokyo.), Kobato Ria, Sorano Aozora (ARCANA PROJECT), and Takasaki Hina (Niji no Fantastica) will launch Dempagumi.inc into all new heights. A collaboration has been announced between Japanese idol group Dempagumi.inc and the 2018 anime series Zombie Land Saga. Titled "Akiba Division vs Saga Division," the collaboration will see Dempagumi.inc, who are based in Akihabara (also known as Akiba), and Franchouchouーthe idol group from Zombie Land Sagaーwho are based in Saga Prefecture, battle it out. Details on how this battle will unfold and in what form have yet to be announced, but we can only begin to imagine what a clash between these two would entail: Dempagumi, who are out to save the universe, and Franchouchou, a collective of girls resurrected as zombies to save Saga. A campaign will be held for two people to win a card signed by the Dempagumi.inc and Franchouchou members will also be held at a later date. After performing in Tokyo and Osaka, female idol group Dempagumi. Inc finished their live house tour on 30th April in Nagoya. A live video of their performance of Inochi no Yorokobi at Diamond Hall, Nagoya has now been released on YouTube. Dempagumi.inc performed two days at Nippon Budokan on January 6 and 7 to 20,000 fans.
Two new members, Rin Kaname and Nagi Nemoto, joined the group on December 30, 2017. The seven-member group performed a historical set list of the group's discography to the Budokan crowd. Both days had their own title. Day one was named "Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: We Are Dempagumi.inc ~Returning From Space~." On the second day, titled "Dempagumi.inc Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan: Nemu Yumemi's Graduation Performance ~A New Journey~," long-time member Nemu Yumemi departed from the group.
