TENGA Release Rap Video for Web Commercial for the Official TENGA Energy Drink

09.August.2017 | MUSIC

TENGA Co., Ltd. began sales of their first very own energy drink called “TENGA NIGHT CHARGE” on March 21st earlier this year. The company just released a new commercial for the product on August 6th.

The commercial itself is made in the form of a rap music video and even has its own song titled “TENGA GIN☆GIN NIGHT” themed around giving Japan a ‘boost’ leaving it in high spirits.

In the video we see the comedy duo “Dainoji,” with member Yosuke Oochi on vocals and Nobuhiko Ootani as the DJ.

We also get to see a host of other well-known individuals assemble to join in with the rap, including Akutagawa Prize winner Keisuke Hada, columnist Nameko Shinsan, carabet girls, hosts and more, all gathered with high adrenaline as they dance like crazy.

Since the video was shot to be posted freely across social media, in an industry first, the staff that participated in the filming posted photos and such of the video shoot on their own social media.

As a result, despite the video being shot late at night, the hashtag #飲むTENGA (“drink TENGA”) reached 6th place in the trending keywords on Twitter.

The video certainly shows an amazing cast and by extension Japan itself in high spirits, accompanied by up tempo music that fits perfectly into the summer party scene. Check out the chorography during the chorus too.

Have a hot summer this year with “TENGA NIGHT CHARGE” and “TENGA GIN☆GIN NIGHT”
