SiM Releases Music Video for Attack on Titan OP Theme ‘The Rumbling’

The music video for The Rumbling, the opening theme song for Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2, premiered on YouTube on March 2, 2022.


Performed in front of a green screen with incredibly detailed CG imagery overlaid with the band, the series’ story plays out alongside this hard rock track. The video also includes a ton of shots from impossible camera angles caught by using volumetrics.

 

Along with INNI VISION, who has produced many of SiM’s music videos in the past, the production team for this release also included Taiyo Yamamoto and Naohiro Yako. Ryoji Sekimoto from Crypton Future Media and Kota Morie from MORIE INC also participated. During the video’s premiere on YouTube, the four members of SiM appeared in the chat guerrilla-style, shocking fans.

An official interview has been posted to a special website made especially for the song. The interview has been translated into English, Portuguese, Indonesian, French, Spanish, and German.

  • Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 to be Split in Two, First Half to Air in March

    It has been announced that Attack on Titan The Final Season will split its third part into two halves.

     

    The first half will begin airing on NHK General starting March 3 at 24:25. The second half
    will air sometime during 2023 with more details to be revealed in the future.

     

    Prior to this, a special compilation of all 87 episodes will be aired on NHK General from
    February 25 to February 27. Every episode of Attack on Titan that has aired to date will be condensed into seven episodes.

    A new trailer has been released ahead of the beginning of Part 3 inspired by the phrase “This is Freedom.” Fans will see Eren smiling as a child, a vast difference from the man he grows to be. The despair in the video is palpable, but there is still some hope being kept alive by the characters.

     

    Finally, to commemorate the third part of The Final Season, fans will be able to watch episodes from the series for free on the streaming service GYAO! starting January 17.

     

    After years of massive popularity, Attack on Titan is approaching its climax. Be sure to tune into Part 3 when it begins airing in March!

  • Super Hotel Announces Second Collaboration with Attack on Titan

  • Attack on Titan Real Escape Game to Return to Tokyo and Nagoya to Celebrate the Final Season

    The Real Escape Game Attack on Titan The Final Season: Escape from the Five Titans, a collaboration between Real Escape Game and Attack on Titan, will be held for a limited time starting January 13, 2023.

     

    Both this escape game and Escape from the Titan’s Forest have attracted over 250,000 visitors. The events are being held one more time to commemorate the conclusion of the series in 2023.

     

    Visitors will be able to transform themselves into characters from the now-legendary series. Players can enjoy an incredible sense of realism, with new voiceovers recorded by Attack on Titan’s voice actors.

  • ACCAMER Releases Music Video for ‘I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss’ Ending Theme

    ACCAMER released the song Nomic on streaming services on October 7. The track serves as the ending theme for the anime series I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, and on October 15, the music video was revealed!

     

    The new music video was produced by the song’s writer Sheeno Mirin, and is a unique creation perfectly suited for the track. In the past, ACCAMER has worked with eminent video creators on her music videos, including sakiyama, Ryuuseee, and Yuma Saito. 

     

    The music video was illustrated by up-and-coming artist Meri, who also created the cover art for Nomic. The video was edited by video director bondbond, and fans will also want to keep an eye out for ZAZA’s avant-garde CG work. The lyrics, which scroll vertically, are somewhat hypnotic, and this is certain to be one video you won’t forget!

  • BE:FIRST Releases Poignant Music Video for First Love Song ‘Message’

    Popular boys group BE:FIRST has released the music video for Message. The track was featured on the group’s chart-topping first album BE:1 released on August 31.

    Message is BE:FIRST’s first love song, featuring a soundscape punctuated by sweet guitar riffs. The mid-tempo ballad is a collaboration between singer-songwriter eill, whose songs reflect elements of soul and R&B and whose silky, soulful voice is incredibly addicting; Matt Cab, whose musical sense and unique sound is perfect for a wide range of genres; and MATZ and SKY-HI, who have attracted attention as next-generation artists who lead the Japanese dance music scene.

     

    The music video shows seven people in love and was filmed like a drama series. The seven performers portray their daily lives as they fall in love, struggle with love, and learn to move forward. The powerful dance is also a highlight. Check out the dramatic performances of the seven members in this elaborate setting.

     

    BE:FIRST is currently on its first nationwide tour, titled BE:FIRST 1st One Man Tour “BE:1” 2022-2023. The tour will take the members to 17 cities nationwide for a total of 29 shows.

  • BUMP OF CHICKEN Releases Music Video for SOUVENIR, the Second Opening for Anime Series Spy x Family

    Rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN has released the music video for the song SOUVENIR, the second opening theme for the popular anime series Spy x Family. The second cour of the series began airing on October 1.

     

    SOUVENIR is the band’s first new song in about six months and was added to streaming services on September 29. Unsurprisingly, the track has been a hit, performing well on the charts.

     

    The music video was directed by Spikey John, who is working with BUMP OF CHICKEN for the first time. 

     

    Prior to the music video’s release, a fast-paced teaser video shot on a highway was released, and many fans have been anxious to see what the full-length video would look like.

  • Attack on Titan Playing Cards Win Big at the Ani-Monozukuri Awards 2022

    At the 5th annual Kyoto Ani-Monozukuri Awards 2022, a collection of Attack on Titan playing cards made in traditional Japanese style took the Gold Prize in the Craft Design category. In Japanese, monozukuri means ‘to make something by hand.’

     

    The Kyoto Ani-Monozukuri Awards aims to revitalize business between the anime industry and local companies and organizations. It honors outstanding collaborative products, inviting those with a creative streak to try their luck at designing something uniquely anime-inspired. This year’s awards show saw 157 total entries, with one winning the grand prize, seven winning both gold and silver, and six winning bronze.

     

    Charaditional Toys was launched this year, and the company aims to create items for adults who love anime characters. The Gold Award was granted to the company after judges were inspired by the traditional Japanese craftsmanship and high quality shown in the final product. Made by Oishi Tengudo, a company founded in Kyoto in 1800, the cards were made using classic methods. These 48 original playing cards are like nothing fans of Attack on Titan have seen before. 

     

    A second project is scheduled for release in winter 2022, so stay tuned!

  • Rina Sawayama Releases Music Video for ‘Hurricanes,’ Studio Performance of ‘This Hell’

    Born in Niigata and living in London, international singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama released her second album Hold The Girl on September 16. The album has already received rave reviews from media outlets worldwide, with NME calling it “the best British pop album of the year.” 

     

    Sawayama has now released the music video for her single Hurricanes, which can also be found on her newest album. The impressive video features an incredibly powerful performance with the band in the middle of a violent storm. Be sure to check it out below!

  • Voice Actor Music Hero Project PRELUDERS Releases Music Video for ‘Horizon Climber’

    On August 31, 2022, the voice actor, hero, and music project PRELUDERS released the album By Your Side. Now, the music video for the song Horizon Climber by High Five has been released, and it’s absolutely gorgeous!

     

    High Five is a group led by Asuka Morito (Junya Enoki), and Horizon Climber is a song filled with hope. Young people are encouraged to listen to imagine the kind of hero they’d like to become!

    The music video for Horizon Climber depicts the fifth and final chapter of the voice drama Koubou (Beam of Light), in which the members of High Five and S-quad finally confront the two members of Vice Versa, voiced by Atsushi Tamaru and Shintaro Asanuma. The battle is ready to start, with Asuka (Junya Enoki) and Ko Kujikami (Yuma Uchida) taking on those who would threaten their friends.   • SiM to Hold Streaming Event ‘Amazon Music Live: DEAD POP FESTiVAL 2022’

    Amazon Music Live: DEAD POP FESTiVAL 2022 was originally held on June 25 and 26, 2022. Those who missed out on SiM’s outdoor festival will be able to watch it on the Amazon Music Japan channel on Twitch on August 16 at 20:00 along with exclusive commentary from the members. In addition, Shuhei Igari (HEY-SMITH), GEN (04 Limited Sazabys), and Takuya Yamanaka (THE ORAL CIGARETTES) will appear. 20 artists who participated in the festival will give their personal thoughts on the June event including behind-the-scenes stories.

     

    Fans of Attack on Titan won’t want to miss the first live performance of SiM’s track The Rumbling, used as the opening theme for The Final Season Part 2.
