The group Kashin no Okina from the music and drama series Otogi no Uta: CHRONICLE will release its first character song Izayoi Banka on April 15, 2022. The franchise is a collaboration between Nippon Columbia and San-X.


Otogi no Uta: CHRONICLE is a music and drama CD series based on folktales, with characters engaging in ‘live battles’ to achieve the happiest possible ending to their own story. The project was launched in 2017 in partnership with San-X, the creators behind popular characters Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi. As you’d expect, the handsome characters are able to transform into smaller stuffed animal versions of themselves.

The song Izayoi Banka will be performed by the character Sakuya, who was inspired by the Japanese folk tale of Hanasaka Jiisan. A special comic version of the track is available now on Comic Newtype, and a special voice drama will be released on March 17 on YouTube to celebrate the new song!
