Macaroni Empitsu Reveals Jacket Cover for ‘Summer Time Rendering’ Anime Opening Song

Music group Macaroni Pencil has unveiled the jacket for its latest song, Hoshi ga Oyogu, scheduled to be released on April 15, 2022.

 

The song will serve as the opening song for the anime adaptation of Summer Time Rendering. Yasuki Tanaka’s manga series ran from 2017 to 2021 in Shonen Jump+, quickly becoming a smash hit. A live-action adaptation and real escape game based on the series will also be coming soon.

 

The band recently performed at Nippon Budokan on their 10th-anniversary tour, becoming a popular topic on social media sites and stirring up plenty of excitement for the new series.

    On January 14, 2023, Macaroni Empitsu will release their new song Rinjuu Love on all major streaming services. The song is being used as the theme song for the TBS drama series 100 Mankai Ieba Yokatta (I Should Have Said It 1 Million Times).   The painful and heartfelt drama series airs each Friday and features a script written by Naoko Adachi, known for her work on the drama Okaeri Mone and the film What Did You Eat Yesterday? The cast includes Mao Inoue, Takeru Sato, and Kenichi Matsuyama. This is the first TBS drama starring Inoue in 16 years. Sato previously played the main role in the drama series Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo, while Matsuyama has won numerous awards including a Blue Ribbon Award and a Japan Academy Prize.   The series will begin airing on January 13 at 22:00.
  • Macaroni Empitsu 10th Anniversary Exhibition Makes Triumphant Return to Tokyo

    Fans of the pop rock band Macaroni Empitsu will want to head to Tokyo from February 17 to March 6, 2023 to enjoy a newly-reworked 10th-anniversary exhibition. Guests are invited to look through various macaroni holes around the exhibition hall to catch glimpses of some curious and rare items only on display for a limited time.

     

    After being held at several locations around Japan, the exhibition will return to Ikebukuro PARCO in Tokyo next month.

     

    Items appearing in the Macaroni Empitsu 10th Anniversary Book -Macaroni Kuronikuru- will be on display, and a short film titled Aspirations will be screened following its premiere in Shibuya.

     

    Graphic designer Shun Sasaki served as the art director for the exhibition.

     

    Fans won’t want to miss out on the exhibition's original merchandise featuring key visuals and lyrics from the band. Come get a glimpse at the history and personal lives of Macaroni Empitsu’s members while you can!

    With over 1.7 million followers on social media, Gen-Z singer-songwriter Riria is one of the most popular artists in Japan today. Her voice and ability to express authentic emotion through her music have gained her support from fans around the world.     Gen-Z singer-songwriter Riria. made her major label debut in 2020 with the song Kaeru-ka Genshou ni Nayanderu Onna no Ko no Hanashi on the new label VIA, part of TOY’S FACTORY.   The singer has gained overwhelming support from the younger generation during her brief career, amassing over 1.7 million followers on social media. Her song Uwakisaretakedo Madasukittekyoku (He Cheated on me, but I Still Love Him) made waves on LINE MUSIC, ranking at #1.   • Summer Time Rendering Manga Series Themed Escape Game Announced

    Japanese escape game creative company SCRAP has announced a brand new game in collaboration with Summer Time Rendering, a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka which concluded in February this year. An anime adaptation for the series has been green-lit.Shueisha describes the manga's story: "Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?"   SCRAP's escape game will take place on Tomogashima, an island located in Wakayama which inspired the setting of Summer Time Rendering. Taking place for one day only on July 22, the game will have players solving puzzles and mysterious around the real-life island in order to escape. The game is limited to just 50 groups and a maximum of 100 people. Applications are open now until April 26 and players will be selected randomly.   ©田中靖規/集英社
