GOODGLAS released two double-wall insulated glasses featuring the popular Sanrio character Cinnamoroll along with a glass straw and cleaning kit on December 16, 2022. 

The items are available from GOODGLAS Japan’s Official Online Store or from Kita-Senju Marui, Ueno Marui, Tokyu Department Store Tama Plaza, and Niigata Isetan.

Character-inspired Japanese confectionary series Tabemas has announced two new sweets inspired by Kirby and Waddle Dee from the popular game series! These will be available at select AEON and AEON Style locations starting November 18.

Kirby is celebrating his 30th anniversary in 2022, and the popular character has been seeing plenty of press time and special events to celebrate. Now, fans can snag these traditional sweets–though they might be too cute to eat!

The character’s round and puffy body have been recreated perfectly with mild sweetness and a smooth custard flavor.

While the bean paste inside the Kirby sweet is custard-flavored, Waddle Dee features a smooth chocolate flavor. Grab these while supplies last!

A collection of must-have goods featuring Chiikawa and Sanrio characters has been announced! The items will be available at the Sanrio Online Store on November 24  and Sanrio shops nationwide, including department stores, starting November 25. The popular character Chiikawa, created by illustrator nagano, has been invited into the world of Sanrio, and the results are perfectly adorable. The merch lineup includes 21 items from plush toys to acrylic keychains. Purchase bonuses will also be given to those snagging any of the items on offer.

The 60th Anniversary Sanrio Exhibition: The Beginning of Kawaii will be held at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art from October 7 until December 11, 2022. Cinnamoroll, the grand prize winner of the 2022 Sanrio Character Awards, visited the event on opening day, and second place winner Pompompurin visited on October 8. 

The exhibition itself traces the long and storied history of Sanrio, as the company celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2020. Guests will be able to learn more about ‘kawaii culture,’ something that has since garnered worldwide attention and become massively popular with audiences around the globe. Fans of specific Sanrio characters will be able to see how each was designed, and rare drawings and products will be on display.

Visitors will be able to trace how Sanrio developed each character’s personality and style over time, and will surely see how the company placed major importance on communication with audiences. Sanrio’s characters continue to transcend time, popular with people of all ages.

Aeon’s fashion brand DOUBLEFOCUS has announced a unique apparel collection featuring Crayon Shin-chan and Sanrio’s popular character Cinnamoroll! The collection itself will include 14 items and will release on September 29, 2022. Those interested will be able to purchase these items at over 150 AEON and AEON-STYLE locations around Japan, as well as online. Crayon Shin-chan has been a popular series for decades, and Cinnamoroll has won first place for three consecutive years in the Sanrio Character Awards. 

Many characters from Crayon Shin-chan will be featured in the collection, including Shinnosuke, Himawari, Shiro, and Buriburizaemon. Godiva Cafe has collaborated with Sanrio’s character unit Hapidanbui twice since February, and the third collaboration is scheduled to start on September 15! All locations nationwide will sell hot or cold cocoa milk with a special sleeve and sticker featuring everyone’s favorite Sanrio characters.

The third collaboration will focus on Badtz-Maru and Keroppi. The shop’s cocoa milk combines smooth Godiva chocolate with milk and fresh cream, so why not grab one this fall?

Starting September 30, the popular accessories brand Maison de FLEUR will begin selling items made in collaboration with everyone’s favorite Sanrio characters at stores nationwide and online!

The handmade donut shop Floresta will be offering some adorable Pochacco and Pekkle donuts from September 10 until September 30, 2022. Customers can snag them at Floresta locations and the online store.

Floresta specializes in donuts made from all-natural ingredients, and these adorable collaboration donuts are sure to put a smile on Sanrio fans’ faces!

These donuts are made with Floresta’s special white chocolate mixed with strawberry powder and pumpkin powder. Not overly sweet, these goodies will suit anyone’s palate.

Although these sweet treats may be colorful, they were made with all-natural ingredients and are free of synthetic colors, fragrances, and preservatives. Many customers have said that the natural taste is totally different from that of standard donuts, so why not give it a try with family or friends?

Namco will be releasing some exclusive Halloween prizes featuring everyone’s favorite Sanrio characters! The Halloween event will run from September 9 until October 31 at around 200 Namco Amusement Centers nationwide and on the Torumo online crane game mall.

During the campaign, exclusive prizes featuring brand-new designs of popular Sanrio characters will be available in crane game machines!

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of Sanrio’s avatar app Hello Sweet Days, a cafe collaboration with Sanrio Characters Honey Toast Cafe in Yokohama, the Pompompurin Cafe in Harajuku, and the Cinnamoroll Cafe in Shinjuku will begin on August 20, 2022. This is the first collaboration to take place at all three stores at once.
