On August 19, Tsurune The Movie: The First Shot opened in theaters around Japan. At a meet and greet held with the cast at Shinjuku Piccadilly, it was announced that the second season of the anime would premiere in January 2023, along with information about new characters and cast members.
The new teaser visual shows off some familiar faces from the first season, including Minato Narumiya and Shu Fujiwara, along with the new character Eisuke Nikaido. Yuto Uemura and Kensho Ono will be returning to the cast, while Eisuke will be voiced by Jun Fukuyama.
A promotional video for the second season will be shown during a stage meet and greet being held for the current Tsurune film on August 26. Select theaters will be offering tickets to the general public while supplies last, so keep an eye on the film’s social media for more details.
Tsurune The Movie: The First Arrow is currently in theaters. The movie has been met with highly positive reviews, and stage meet and greets starring the cast will be held on August 26 and 28. A limited number of Tsurune coasters drawn by character designer Miku Kadowaki will be presented to ticketholders as a bonus.

Kyoto Animation released a new teaser trailer on Thursday teasing a new anime film adaptation of Kotoko Ayano’s archery light novel series Tsurune.
