From the 27th of October 2017 to the 31st (Tue), a collaborative city festival “Shibu Hallo 2017” will be held at three special venues and 20 clubs/DJ bars.
This fourth Shibuya-Halloween event (2017) will become a “city festival.” Around two million to 3 million people will gather for this Halloween festival in Shibuya and it is gathering much attention from the media, both at home and abroad! More and more tourists are visiting Japan to participate in this event.
This year’s “Shibu Hallo” will set up a special venue at Udagawa, Shibuya. The female shaver brand, P&G “Gillette Venus” will participate in this event for the first time and they will set up a limited booth decorated with cute Halloween goods. A masquerade party will be held at DAIA Shibuya which will be a collaborative party of Shibu Hallo and Jet Star. Students of Osaka Mode Gakuen will visit the party from Osaka to show their full-fledged costumes. An event which offers ten thousand yen-worth of flight vouchers to the winner will be offered too! The contest will be held from 20:00 (entrance fee: free).

A special event sponsored by the game-like candy “Bean Boozled” will be held at TOWER RECORDS Shibuya Store on the 28th (Sat.) 15:00 to 23:00 and “VO5 Airily Making 160g” will be offered to all female visitors at ATOM TOKYO (10,28 (Sat.).
Now an annula event, “SNS Tai” will walk around the city on the 28th of October (Sat.). They will take photos with passersby and hand out free tickets (usable on the 28th) to enter Shibuya style clubs to persons who upload their photos to SNS by lot. The participating stores are as follows.

Mika Pikazo is an illustrator and character designer. The artist has designed characters for many popular titles including Fire Emblem Engage, the latest in Nintendo's Fire Emblem series, as well as book covers and CD jackets. Starting December 10, the artist will hold his second solo exhibition in three years at the Hz event space in Shibuya. According to a press release, the exhibition is being held to show a number of creations Pikazo has made recently, and aims to show off new animation and past illustrations to merge his past and future selves. The creator hopes to challenge himself more going forward. The first main visual, REVENGE, can be seen on the exhibition’s official website. A total of three visuals have been newly drawn for the event and will be released sequentially. In addition, a number of collaborative works with other creators will be on display, so art fans won’t want to miss out.

In conjunction with the autumn segment of Setouchi Triennale 2022, the Yokai Halloween 2022 event will be held for the first time at the Yokai Art Museum in Shodoshima in Kagawa. During the event, guests can take part in the Halloween Night Yokai Tour on Saturdays, which will invite them to transform into terrifying ghouls! Each guest will receive a yokai mask and will be tasked to test their courage in this unique Halloween event. Those visiting the museum in costume will receive a discount, and visitors can also enjoy some spooky treats at the Yokai Bar. This is one museum horror fans won’t want to miss!

Unlike daytime, the Yokai Art Museum is filled with a mysterious energy at night. With a flashlight in hand, staff members will lead guests on a tour through the museum, which exhibits more than 800 yokai sculptures. Visitors can wear yokai masks and costumes, and unlike a haunted house, you won’t need to worry about yokai jumping out at you. Digital art collective NAKED will hold a special Halloween projection mapping show at Tokyo Tower! The Tokyo Tower City Light Fantasia ~Halloween Party 2022~ event will run from September 16 until October 31 on the 2nd floor of the tower’s main deck. NAKED has collaborated with Tokyo Tower in the past to create shows inspired by the seasons. These incredible illuminations captivate audiences at night, and this fall, visitors will be captivated by autumn leaves dancing in the breeze along with silvergrass swaying and the sound of chirping insects. The scene will eventually change into something more spooky–a ghost will appear alongside witches, bats, and pumpkins! The main deck will be enveloped in Halloween colors perfect for a fall photoshoot!
